We are the halflings. Tall folks call us hobbits. We live in a wonderful placed called The Burrows, where we make our homes under the hills.

How we look:

We are much shorter than everyone else (except for the pixies) but beware, we are just as ferocious and powerful as any other race. Male halflings are generally between 3 and 4 feet tall and weigh from 120-160 pounds. Females are slightly lighter.

We look very much like humans but on a smaller scale. Most halflings do not wear shoes since we have very thick soles. We also have fur on our feet so they don't get cold. We have rotund bellies and this is a highly sought after look, the firmer and rounder the better. We have thick brown or black hair that is often curly. We love fashion, and leather is the staple material.

We halflings are quick and sneaky due to our high dexterity, so watch your pocket carefully... Heeeheeee..... Find out more about our wonderful people by clicking on the links.

Excerpt from RoD Help file on Halflings:

Stout, round, open-minded and very elusive the Hobbit has a level of
dexterity which is only equal to his wit. Many enjoy the thrill of
reading a good book, or telling stories by the fire. Many halflings,
because of this, tend to avoid adventuring, though some rare hobbits
choose the path of the Bard, or storyteller, for their keen intellect
serves them well. This intelligence, coupled with a surprising
determination makes them a curious (though somewhat underpowered)
ally.

Individuals have compact bodies and thick, long limbs, and usually have
very hairy feet. Eye colors range from blue to brown to green, and
any shade inbetween.

Halflings have an innate ability to detect evil around them, as
well as uncanny ability to sneak unseen.

Halflings can follow the ways of the following classes:
Thief Warrior Vampire Ranger

Halflings gain experience on a scale of normal rate * 1.02.
