Dustin Neufeld
Dustin Neufeld graduated from Saint Francis Xavier University with a degree in Jazz Performance, guitar. During his time at Saint Francis Xavier University, Dustin also studied the upright bass with renowned bassist and artist in residence Skip Beckwith. Prior to that time, Dustin studied classical guitar. A versatile player, Dustin plays a variety of styles ranging from jazz and blues to classical and Brazilian guitar. Dustin has playing experience in a variety of group settings including a jazz quartet, an eight-piece motown band and an improvised groove band. Presently Dustin plays with The Halifax Guitar Trio, plays solo guitar in local Halifax restaurants and teaches part-time at the Canadian Conservatory of Music in Halifax.

Jan McCharles
Originally from Cape Breton, guitarist Jan McCharles captivates listeners with her natural, sweet tone- beautifully interpreting the music that has surrounded her entire life. Her taste is diverse, devoting equal time to classical, jazz, and contemporary. She has been performing solo and with large and small ensembles in recitals, banquets, restaurants and private functions across Halifax and Wolfville. Jan is currently an instructor at the Maritime Conservatory of Performing Arts, and is finishing a B.Mus. at Dalhousie, where she is majoring in Music Education with applied study in Classical Guitar. Starting her degree at Acadia University, she found time while there to teach at the Annapolis Academy of Music, substitute teach Prof. Ken Davidson’s guitar class, work as a music therapist, and play with the Acadia Jazz band. She also began playing with violinist Meredith Bates, an inspired partnership they have been taking around the Maritimes since 1998.

Eugene Cormier
At the age of 25, Eugene Cormier is in high demand as a solo performer, chamber musician, accompanist, studio musician, and as a teacher. Born in Corner Brook, Newfoundland, Eugene received his Bachelor of Music in Guitar Performance from Acadia University under the guidance of Ken Davidson. After completing his degree he traveled to Toronto, where he did graduate studies with Eli Kassner (University of Toronto). He has also attended masterclasses/studied with: David Russell, David Tanenbaum, Eli Kassner, Hubert Kappel, Oscar Ghiglia, Gerald Garcia, Stephen Gordon, Chris Stell, Sylvie Proulx, Stephan Fentôk, and Garry Antonio. His endeavors in music education have included the roles of guitar coach for the classical guitar ensemble at Acadia University, guitar teacher at The Annapolis Academy of Music (Wolfville) and The Peel School of Music, an RCM affiliate (Toronto), and teaching privately in Corner Brook NF. Eugene is currently the head of the guitar programme at The Maritime Conservatory of Performing Arts in Halifax, NS.
