Sure, it's not as good as the original, but few sequels are. Oh well, at least the original cast is still there! Okay, despite the apparent demise of West at the hands... err, organs, of Dr. Hill at the end of the original RE-ANIMATOR, Herby West (Jeffrey Combs! Hazahh!) is back, as is his sidekick with the chicks, Dan. The two begin the film as doctors in some South American war, doing further experiments into reanimation. They return to the states and good old Arkham, Mass. and Miskatonic Hospital. West basically plays around with severed limbs while Dan bops his ex-girlfriend. But, West's escapades bring him under the watchfully nosy eye of a local detective, whose wife was supposedly murdered due to West's previous zombie antics! Also, Dr. Hill (more precisely, Hill's head) is back, as some naive doc reanimates the body-less cranium, as well as attaching bat wings to the damn thing! Soon after, Herb and Dan pull a "Bride of Frankenstein", creating a freakish patchwork woman for Dan, using Meg's still-preserved heart! But, the jig is up, as the now airborne head of Dr. Hill raid West's home w/ the help of a new army of zombies! In the end, Dan and his ex escape; Megenstein rips her own heart out; West is assaulted by his freaks and has a mausoleum dropped on his head , possibly destroying any chance of a third movie. But, he died in the first movie... didn't he?
