Lance Henriksen stars in this film as a dirt farmer who's kid is accidentally run over by some messed up teenagers. Lance goes to some senior citizen witch woman (despite the "advice" of some hicks) to summon a demon from hell (PUMPKINHEAD ya "genius") to extract his wrathful vengeance on the punks. The demon is raised from an old, spooky pumpkin patch, using the dead son's body as a sacrifice. Pumpy proceeds to kill all but two of the teenagers (many broken spines, oh is it ever arousing) before Lance (heh heh) decides that "Pie For Brains" needs to be stopped and that revenge is wrong. Some may be surprised by how Pumpy's destroyed, but true horror denizens such as I won't be. I loved all the broken spines and the fact that it was all done by a demon named PUMPKINHEAD makes it even better! But, Stan Winston (creator of so many classic horror characters) was the father of Pumpy, and if you notice, he's just a rip off of the ALIENS (as is PUMPKINHEAD himself... haha). But, despite the fact that it starred a fairly cheap rip off for a monster, this was still a DAMN cool movie to me! The Great Pumpkin's got nothing on PUMPKINHEAD! Hell, Pumpy would eviscerate the entire PEANUTS gang if given half the chance! Now THAT would've made a better sequel than that damn BLOODWINGS thing... uggh.
