I don't give a fuck what people say about this movie, I loved all the references to black magic and the "nifty" (it's in my contract to say shit like that...) little witchcraft things peaked my interests. My favorite part was when Redferne and Kass are nailing Warlock's footprints... cool shit! It all starts back in 1691 Boston, where a Warlock and a Bounty Hunter named Redferne are transported through a void into 1980's California, where the Warlock is befriended by some fag and a diabetic girl named Kassandra. But, in desperate need of fashion excessories, the Warlock steals the fag's ring (and the finger it was attached to!), then bites off his tongue and fries it in a skillet. Turns out the Warlock (played by Julian Sands) is the son of Satan himself, and that if he should find the 3 parts of the Grimoire (black magic bible), then he can bring big daddy Satan home! Throughout the movie, he does a bunch of cool little witchcraft things, like gouging out a psychic's eyes to guide him, boiling a non-baptized boy's fat so he can fly, and aging Kassandra by 20 years a day just by stealing her charm bracelet! This shit's cool, just wish I could do it without turning myself into a genital wart every time... Well, the girl winds up teaming with the Bounty Hunter (who's wife was killed by the Warlock) and they hunt the Warlock across the US, till they come to the final showdown in a Boston cemetery where Warlock is within 2 syllables of saying God's true name backwards (bringing about the end of the world), when Kassandra injects salt water into his neck (a bane of Witches and Warlocks). He dies, and Redferne goes to his tomb a happy soul. Kass buries the complete Grimoire in the Bonneville Salt Flats to keep it from falling into Warlock hands again. Another thing this movie spawned were cool quotes, such as, "'lest you fare throttlings to the face and ears", "the guy who finger paints with bodily fluids", and "Jesus and the 12 apostrophes". Great ice breakers at parties!
