For a slave, there are six aspects of the "First Rule of the Hall" and breaking of any one of these aspects will not be excused and will result in banishment from the Hall. The six aspects of the First Slave Rule are described below:First Slave Rule:
1) Honesty- never tell a lie no matter how small it is, don't deceive any Free in The Hall or in any channel as it will result in you being caste away.2) Integrity- say what you mean, and state it in pleasing way.
3) Respect - is always expected. Respect will be shown first to the Free, second to siren{Ber} as first girl and then to all in channel with no exceptions. Disrespect will earn siren{Ber}'s wrath and will not be tolerated and will be dealt with as follows: first the slave will be talked with, the second time is a form punishment, the third time will be Jarl's punishment and possible banishment from The Hall.
4) Honor- this is self-explanatory. Everything you do will reflect on the collar you, as a slave, wear. Don't dishonor your Master or Jar.
5) Trust - this is given when you begged collar. As slaves, our Owners give it to us as we give it to Them, completely and without hesitation. It is a hard thing to do to give complete trust, yes, but breaking the bond of trust is just like breaking the bond of the collar.
6) Complete and Absolute Obedience - "you are slave" remember this always. Your foremost job is to be pleasing at all times. If you cannot be pleasing, then you have no reason to be within The Hall. If there is a reason you cannot do something asked of you in The Hall, you must ask to message that person about it and explain your reasons in private. Never, ever say "no" to a Master or Free person.
2) A slave always will be pleasant and cheerful to a Jarl/Lady (Master/Mistress). If a slave feels they cannot be of a pleasing, positive attitude at all times that they are in the The Hall, then they are not to enter, or are to leave until they are in the right frame of mind to be pleasant and cheerful.
3) All slaves need permission to leave The Hall or to mark AFK. A slave will ask permission from one's Jarl/Lady (Master/Mistress) if personally owned, or from a Free Resident of the Hall to leave. If the request is not answered within a reasonable amount of time and the slave has repeated the request to leave or mark AFK three times, then they may go. If there are no Free present, a slave is not
required to ask permission unless under the instruction of a trainer. In such a case, the trainer (usually the fg) will release the slave.4) No slaves will ever argue with a Jarl/Lady (Master/Mistress) because the Jarl/Lady (Master/Mistress) is always right, and any conversation with them ends with "Yes, Jarl/Lady (Master/Mistress)."
5) A slave will not shout, nor use profanity.
6) {siren}Ber-fg is first girl of the Hall, and all slave problems or questions should be brought to her first. Questions and concerns will be brought to Jarl Berserk or an Op of The Hall only when absolutely necessary. The duty of slaves is to serve and please, not to involve the Jarl/Lady (Master/Mistress) with the dealings between slaves. Problems regarding siren should be addressed to Jarl Berserk.
7) Slaves are encouraged to always remember that they are slaves. The Jarl/Lady (Master/Mistress) are their first priority and slaves must give Them attention over
their fellow- or sister- slaves. When greeting the Free, always greet
A)Freemen first
B)FreeWomen
C)First girl of The Hall
d)sisters or slave brothers
If playing or talking with your sisters and a Free comes into The Hall, all else stops until He or She is offered service and you are dismissed.8) Training slaves will study the ways of The Hall and of Torvaldsland as there is alot for you to learn. You will be expected to greet and serve, if you know how*, the Jarls/Ladies (Masters/Mistresses), when not serving or studying, you will work around The Hall, doing whatever chores need to be done. (*If you do not know how to serve, We will work with you on this until you are ready to do so.)
9) When a training slave feels ready to be tested, you will be tested before the Jarl.
Please do not hesitate to ask for help.10) When in the The Hall and not serving, slaves will find something to keep
themselves busy. There are always dishes to wash, the kitchen to clean, stocking in the pantry to be done, clothes to wash and mend, food to be prepared, and crafts to be done. In short, find something to do and do not sit idle.Again, if any slave has questions, please speak with siren{Ber}-fg of The Hall.
