| MY MISSION |
As a Member of the Church of Jesus-Christ of the Latter Days Saints, i sent my paper in to serve a mission. I recieved my call in July 1997, where i learned that i would be serving in the : Bacolod Philippines Mission It was a great surprise for me knowing that my friend here served in Europe and in the US. I entered the MTC (missionaries trainning center) on October 1st 1997, i stayed there for 3 months(usually for 2) because we had problem with the visas. Then i flew out to the Philippines on the 24th of December 1997, and arrived in Manila the 25th at night, we all missed Christmas! During the rest of my 2 years i served in differents areas within the mission boundaries(Negros and Panay Island): - Iloilo (Lapaz-lapuz area) - Dao / Anini-y (Antique Province) - Aguisan (a little north of Binalbagan) - Binalbagan - Calatrava (close to San Carlos) - Valladolid / Mabini and spoke 3 differents dialects: - Ilonggo - Cebuano - Kinaray-a I finaly returned home September 15th, 1999 with honor of having served faithfully. |
