I bought the Snafu cork bar ends together with their medium density grips which by the way are the most comfortable grips ever!(but only last a month!) Only costing me $25 cdn for both, this was one hell of a deal, considering Kink barends cost the same by themselves. Plus it came in a cool little tin and a sticker. The corks are CNC'd from aluminum and look really cool.
I had been riding the corks for about 2 years without any problems at all. They never came loose at all, mainly because i tightened the shit out of them. Every thing was great until last week when I went to put on a new pair of grips. I un-tightened the bolt on the left side and right away it just fell out of the bars, but in about 10 different pieces. The part that grips onto the inside of the bars had snaped. If i hadnt changed grips it would probly still be on there without me ever knowing it was busted. I blame my self mostly for tightening it to much which is probly why it broke. Still it should not have brocken and therefor I give the corks a 5/10 because of the price and because the outside piece did not break from constant bike tossing. Stick to plastic!! |
