*       Responsible for news coverage in Braidwood, a town of 5,000 in Will County. On a normal week, that consisted of four to six stories involving all beats, including city council, schools, features and police, as well as a weekly entertainment column published in the chain's "common" section.
*       Also was given the duties of photographer and designer for the weekly Braidwood Journal..Photos were taken with a Nikkon Coolpix and design was completed with Quark XPress.
*       Additional responsibilities included weekly story meetings with editors of other newspapers in the chain, editing sports stories and representing the paper at the chamber of commerce.
