"Would all passengers for the 11:17 flight to London please make their way to the plane." She heard a squeaky voice announce. And she heaved herself up and walked off towards the exit where she knew the plane was waiting. It felt like miles that they were walking but she didn’t care. If it meant that her and Lou could start again and put all this horrid mess behind them then she would have walked all the way to London.
She turned around to have a last look when she was about to board the plane and saw Sean standing behind the window, waving them off. He waved a final goodbye to his little girl but still no tears fell from his eyes. He knew that there was nothing he could do to stop them leaving and he knew that it was his fault it had all happened in the first place.
Chloe sat down on the plane for the first time in ages. Her feet were playing her up, her back was done in and her ankles were swollen. She was glad, for the first time ever for the hard un-comfortable seats on the plane. She strapped Lou in and watched as she fell asleep before all the passengers had even boarded. She looked down at the sweet little girl before her and knew she was doing the right thing. She couldn’t leave her with that monster of a man who didn't even cry when he killed his own wife. No, she knew that this was what Tina would have wanted for her little girl. To be brought up with love and care and away from all the horrid memories that would haunt her in years to come. Chloe smiled for the first time in what felt like days as the plane took off and she waved goodbye to Australia, one country that she wasn’t sad to leave. As she looked out over the night sky she couldn’t have been happier.
"We did it Tina," She said as she closed her eyes. "We finally won."
