I graduated with Honors in Wildlife from Humboldt State University this past May and took off to travel in Europe. Jen Wilson and I backpacked through England, Belgium, Netherlands, Germany, Switzerland, Austria, Italy and France in a little under six weeks. It was a fabulous vacation and education. We enjoyed our time in the Swiss Alps the most but also loved Italy and all of the great people we met along the way.
I have moved from Arcata. It was sad to leave that beautiful area but I had at least one fall field season out there on the dunes to enjoy it before I moved.
I just returned from Costa Rica where I was banding birds on the Caribbean coast for two months. The jungle was wonderful but challenging and the birds beautiful.
This next semester I plan to investigate grad school opportunities and study for the GRE in hopes of getting involved in a grad school the following fall.
Nora in going into her second year at Berkeley and Emily is still working in Walnut Creek. Mom, Dad, the dogs, cats and guinea pigs are all doing well in Chicago Park!
