Emily and Hanna's Dunedin Trip
Dunedin (dneedin) is about a six hour bus ride south of Christchurch along the coast.  The area is great for sea and shorebirds.  Emily and I took a cruise out in the bay, went horse trekking up the sheep covered mountains and toured the city.
The RR station is one of the most beautiful building in the city.
We took this train over to Middlemarch (a very small town with a pop. of 200).
The penguin display in the Otago Museum.  14 of the world's 18 species of penguins occur in New Zealand.
An old telephone downtown.
The yellow-eyed penguin conservation reserve where they observe the birds through covered trenchs as not to diturb them.
A yellow-eyed chick awaiting the return of its parents from the ocean.
This dad came back to feed his chicks while we were there.  You never saw two little guys get so excited about regurgitated food!
