Impressions from Hungary

The first impressive sight was when we drove along the not so blue Danube to Visegrad to the north of Budapest where the river forms a 90 degree angle because of the mountains in the area. Fortunately Visegrad has a castle situated high above on a mountainous slope. From the battery of this the view was spectacular and breathtaking, both figuratively and physically, I didn't count the steps, and they were many. But the reward was waitng in form of a most wonderful view of the Danube Knee.

On our way to the battery we passed a scenario picturing life in the Middle  Ages with the people all in the right costumes and with the right equipment for tournaments, the hunting with falcons and donkey on which you might want to ride afterwards... .. tempting after the strenious ascent!! !
Of course you might even have your picture taken as with the Falcon on your arm, protected by a thick leather glove!
