Notes: The GROVER family shown here have the spelling GROVES in the LDS census transcription. I believe the surname is GROVER from the following evidence.
(a)There are relevant marriage details: Marriages Jan-Mar 1872 with a Jane ELPHICK, Brighton, vol 2b, page 241 and a George William GROVER with the same details.
(b) There are also relevant birth details as follows: Births Apr-Jun 1874, Charity Harriett GROVER Brighton, vol 2b, page 216.
The IGI reveals even more.
According to the IGI, the head of the family here is George William GROVER, born 26 Nov 1852 (parents: William GROVER and Harriett HART, who married at Fletching in 1852).
George and Jane emigrated to the USA between 1889 and 1891. George died 11 Jul 1937 in Los Angeles. The IGI states George and Jane's marriage date variously as 4 Feb 1870, 1871 and 1872, but this must be 4 Feb 1872. The IGI also gives Jane ELPHICK's details as born 3 Nov 1852 (Brighton [sic], daughter of Eli Elphick and an Elizabeth KING who also married in 1852); Jane died 28 Nov 1923 in Los Angeles.
George William GROVER and Jane had 12 children in total as follows:
