Ah, I see you have made a visit to my library. This page is to inform you about the Star Wars Expanded Universe. I will give you a brief, though precise, summary of the book without giving away any of the good parts. I will also give you my own review of the book. I will tell you what I thought of it however this is only my opinion. Yours may very well be different. An explanation of the Acronyms you will see on these pages can be found here.

Make sure you tell me which book you're reviewing or summarizing. All summaries for books come directly from the back of the book or inside cover.
Be wary I will have many spoilers for the novels in some of my reviews. They will be in the reviews only not in the summary. These spoilers may include character relationships, deaths, and other major events. So be warned. I will do my best to seperate any spoilers from the rest of the review so as to keep those that wish to remained un-spoiled from accidentally reading them.
Old Republic

The Republic controls the galaxy, under the rule of the Senate. The Jedi are spread far and wide throughout the galaxy helping to maintain peace and justice. During this time is chronicled the ancient Sith wars.
Rise of the Empire

The Sith have fallen and all that remains, unknown to the Jedi Order, is Darth Bane who implements his rule of two Sith, a Master and an Apprentice. It is a period of peace and prosperity. The Republic grows daily. Until a Senator from Naboo, Palpatine, begins to cause unrest. In the last 30 years of the Old Republic the Senate crumbles and the Clone Wars are fought. The Jedi Order is all but destroyed.
Rebellion
0-5 ABY
A time of war. The Rebel Alliance under the leadership of people like Mon Mothma, Leia Organa, and Luke Skywalker battle against the Empire and it's rulers, Emperor Palpatine and Darth Vader. It ends shortly after the Battle of Endor when, on a mission to the Imperial planet of Bakura, Princess Leia negotiates a peace treaty with the first of many one-time Imperial planets.
New Republic
5-25 ABY
The New Republic grows rapidly. Coruscant is taken from the Empire and is restored as the capital planet of the Republic once again. Mon Mothma becomes the first Chief-of-State. The threats of Grand Admiral Thrawn, Admiral Daala, Intelligence Director Ysanne Isard, and the many warlords that claim to control the Empire are fought and defeated. Luke Skywalker begins training Jedi at the old Rebel Base, Yavin IV, as Leia replaces Mon Mothma as Chief-of-State. After the Corellian Insurrection Leia takes a leave of absence and after the treaty with the Empire steps down completely. Borsk Fey'lya is elected to replace her.
The New Jedi Order
25-37 ABY
It has been 21 years since the Battle of Endor and the deaths of Palpatine and Vader. Now a new threat immerges. One that is not from this galaxy. They come in swiftly and before anyone knows what has happened planets begin to fall, people die, and a new struggle for survival has begun. They are called the Yuuzhan Vong. And slowly they spread throughout the New Republic slowly taking down what our heroes have spent 20 years building. Luke, Leia, Han, Mara, Wedge and Lando, along with new heros, Jacen, Jaina and Anakin Solo, and many other new Jedi Knights must work together with the Republic, Imperial Remnant, and Chiss Imperium in order to restore the peace.
Legacy

The war with the Yuuzhan Vong is over. The problems with the Killiks solved. Now is truly a time of peace. Luke Skywalker's Jedi Order has been rebuilt. But now planetary interests seek to disrupt this peace and something darker still looms on the horizon.
