THE 'CANAL
THE GROUND CREWS
I wonder if one of these guys is Collins.... He was on Guadalcanal from October 20th to February 11th with Service Suadron 41. He left Guadalcanal via New Hebrides for San Francisco via the troopship S.S. Lurline  code-named "Mumu".  The eleventh was the same  day that the Grumman F4U Corsair first saw combat on the 'Canal. the If anyone recognizes one of these guys as TB Collins or knew him, don't hesitate to email. Remember, he was a Staff Seargant at the time. Also, if anyone knows the names in any of these pictures or has experiences or PHOTOGRAPHS of  Tom Collins, Guadalcanal or Henderson Field to share, please contact me. Tom helped keep the plane radios in the Grumman F4F Wildcat in operation.
