My Weight Loss
Welcome to my weight loss page, I hope, if anything its an inspiration to lower income people especially women with children, that you can lose weight on a tight budget with kids to feed!

I ballooned to 140 kgs while pregnant with my 3rd daughter, I was big to start with, and always gain a lot of weight while pregnant, but all up I gained almost 40 kgs.  At the time, I was pretty unmotivated while pregnant and most women will know once you start getting into the obese catagory, its hard to get going. especially with that much weight to carry around, its a hard battle just walking to school and kindy etc.

After I had my daughter I lost quite a bit of it myself, but I officially joined Weight Watchers for the first time when she was 6 weeks old  (october 2001) I was actually very happy to see I was 122.5 kgs.

It took me about 18 months, a lot of walking, and quite bit of money (but not as much as Jenny Craig - which would cost over $5000!!!) to lose 49 kgs with weight watchers  (got to goal in July 03) and on the 26th of October 2003 I walked down the isle wearing a size 14 dress weighing only 74 kgs.

Most of this was due to a lot of walking, I love food alot, and found the more I exercised the more food I got to eat (well, actually HAD to eat, as when you do an hour or two walking everyday, you feel *really* hungry (by this I mean REALLY hungry with tummy rumbling etc!)
For the record, I purchased very little weight watchers food products, I bought some bars and lollies at the meetings occasionally, but that was all. most of the food I ate, was ordinary food, just cutting out the fatty stuff like sausages and pies etc and replacing them with chicken and fish.

If you are reading this, because you are wanting to lose weight, I wish you all the very best of luck.  Its not easy and there are always bad days, but with determination you will get there....

UPDATE
Well, I kept the weight off for almost a year, and in January, I feel pregnant with our 4th baby Quinten.  I thought for sure, with all the information I learnt I wouldnt gain the weight back, but unfortunately that was not to be.  I had a horrible pregnancy and bled for 16 weeks straight.  I was so stressed I was going to lose the baby that I did no exercise that wasnt necessary.  But see, I still love my food, and in the end, I gained back 30 kgs. 
I joined WW again, but found it harder this time round (there fore costing A LOT more in the long run), so I only went for 2 months, since then Ive been doing it on my own...This time, Im doing less exercise and eating less and sticking to the points more, although its only about 500 g a week, Its still coming off...
