[Happy Joe Site] [Bio / Links] [Playlists] [Coming Events]

Happy Joe was born & raised in East Providence, Rhode Island.  He started DJing in 1997, where he was the DJ for various parties, as well as the 1997, and 1998 EPHS Senior Cruises, and the 1998 EPHS Band Banquet.  Those days of being a DJ were much different however, for Happy Joe did not exist yet, he was merely just Joe.  With the journey to college, came the birth of Happy Joe.  Happy Joe is the persona created on the Happy Joe Show every friday night, on 90.3 FM WRIU.  With a major influence from the Liquidsky lable, and from some of the Moonshine labels earlier artist, as well as influences from URB magazine, Happy Joe became quite familiar with the underground noises of Electronica.  As the years have gone by, Happy Joe has grown a love for the music, and an enormous collection of that music, which still is growing.  He also met the lovely crew who sometimes can be heard on the Happy Joe show.  As only fate could deliver, Happy Joe spun at an event at URI called Dance Til Dawn.  At this event, while Happy Joe was spinning, MC Sonic, off Junlge Sky, came over, and started spitting over Happy Joe’s set.  Since Happy Joe is such a fan of Junlge Sky, this was as good as it could’ve gotten for him.  You can sometimes now hear MC Sonic, along with DJ Crisis, and DJ Fire, all from On Point Productions, on the Happy Joe Show.  Now the show goes on, and Happy Joe aspires to bring the music he has to the masses of people that need to hear it.
