| I present to you.... Erin Maresh. Sure, she may look innocent while she engages in sexual intercourse with this frog, but she is far from it. This is the in-depth, behind the scenes look at the famous teenybopper from Happy Sunshine Station. Erin Maresh was born on March 18, 1945 in the cold forests of Manitoba. Ever since that day, the world has never been the same. Erin's anonymous family member speaks about her: "Erin always had a devilish approach to her. She always seemed so horny... and she always seemed to love the company of frogs. I remember, for her third birthday, she received a little plush frog... within five minutes, however, she was engaging in acts I had never seen before in my life. It was horrifying." Ever since that day in 1948, Erin and her family knew she had an addiction, and that it could not be stopped. However these bizarre sexual act would soon make her a millionaire. In July of 1953, Erin was spotted by a talent agent, Mark Humperdink, while she was walking through a botanical garden. Of course, Erin was doing what she always did... humping frogs. The late Mark explains in this 1988 interview: "I remember that day like it was yesterday. I knew when I layed my eyes on that young 8 year old and her frogs that she would one day make me rich and famous. Boy, was I right." Indeed he was. Within one month of becoming her agent, he had signed her with 2 major broadcasting companies, and she had deals to appear on 5 talk shows. She became an overnight success. She was a favorite on the Tonight Show with Johnny Carson for 3 years. Johnny remembers: "The first night she was on the show, the ratings went through the roof. She was perfect. I had finally found the girl that would make my show famous. Because of her, I was able to stay in the business for as long as I did." Talk show after talk show, Erin would perform with her frogs as many as 6 times a week. But, after 3 years of the same old routine, critics and fans were seeking other acts, and Erin Maresh would start a downward spiral into drug use and self destruction. In May of 1955, Erin Maresh was found passed out in a bathroom stall at the local Dairy Queen. She was immediately rushed to the hospital, where she was admitted for an overdose on PCP. She was only ten years old. Five days after the incident, Erin was admitted to the National Drug Rehab Center, where she would spend the next ten years of her life. While in rehab, Erin met one of her good friends and future Co-Conductor, Chase Martin. Chase, 9 years old at the time, was in the rehab center for a heroin addiction. He remembers the day he met Erin. "That day was a happy day. I finally met another person under 10 who had a drug problem. I knew that we would be friends from when I first talked to her." While in rehab, she found that she had more talents than just humping frogs... Erin Maresh discovered that she had the voice of an angel. This became the key to the life that she had hoped for. Finally, in 1965, after ten years of Drug Rehab, Erin Maresh was finally set free. While her friend Chase would go on to spend 10 more years in the rehab center, Erin moved on. She immediately went back to her old agent, and within 2 months, she had 5 record deals. In 1966 she released her first album: Erin Sings Broadway. It bombed. It became the worst selling album of 1966 and 1967. She immediately went back to stage one, and totally re-made her image. In 1970, Erin Maresh created the boy band 2HOTT. The band was an overnight success, and the 3-member band's first album "Drugs and Sex: Bitchslap my Ex" debuted at number one on the Billboard Charts. It stayed there for 3 months. However, Erin felt that she did not belong in a boy band made up of a girl, a baboon, and H.R. Pufnstuf, and in September of that year she left behind Bickles the Baboon and H.R. Pufnstuf. Of course, H.R. would go on to make a hit TV show for children, but Bickles followed a different road, the road of drugs, sex, and gorilla hookers. Sadly, Bickles was killed in a car cash in December of '70. |
