DAN BUTLER, here tending Kurt Terry, put on quite a show
when diving the MkV by repeating last year's performance of
opening the faceplate underwater. By bending over at the waist
to keep his faceplate perfectly level, Dan unscrewed the faceplate lock (below)
and swung the faceplate open. The air pressure in the helmet kept the water out
just like a diving bell. Dan then demonstrated an "Old Divers' Tale"
by eating a bananna while underwater in the MkV!
Jim Folk was getting all this on underwater video from the SuperLite helmetcam.

GREG PLATT MADE THE FIRST DIVE in Bob Rysnak's new Chinese four-light commercial helmet with a Yokohama dress.
That's Bob tending Greg (above right). Greg will be hosting the Historical Diving Society booth at the "Our World Underwater"
show in Chicago on April 17-19 and a Midwest Working Equipment rally at Joliet, Ill., on the Fourth of July weekend.
Ken Woolbert of Massilon, Ohio, (below left) dived Jim Folk's MkV, as did Kevin Ives (below right).
