Laws Governing the Harem
Before posting the laws, an explanation for this site is in order. Gor, as depicted, is a barbaric land composed of tribal clans. War, strife and forced slavery are a way of life. Earth’s history mirrors the image of Gor in many ways. Prior to, and during the dark ages, much of the occupied territory was the same…barbaric…lawless…uneducated. However, there was a cradle of civilization that began during this period in what is now known as the Arabian peninsula, Northern Africa, Northern Mediterranean and Southwest Asia. In portions of this territory, Harems came about. These flourished until the early 20th century. They were a part of the new beginning.
This new room attempts to mirror that new beginning. To the Gor purest, the Harem of the Three Moons is not located in Gor proper, but located off the map in uncharted territory. Just as barbaric Europe was separated from Arabia during the dark ages, so is the Harem of the Three Moons separated from Gor. So, just as asinine as it would have been for a Germanic barbarian to complain to a Harem Sultan that he was not “playing within the script”, it would be just as asinine to say that here as well.
Mainly, we ask that you “go with it”, and above all…Have A Great Time!!
The Laws
We refer to the women within the Harem as “beauties”. Though they are indentured servants, they are not overtly treated as slaves. They are the heartbeat of the Harem, bringing prosperity in a savage environment. As such, they are treated as the Harem’s greatest treasures. At all times, they are to be respected, honored, and thanked for their service. Dishonoring a beauty will bring about a jailing and trial before the Divan. The sentence will be decided by the Sultan.
No physical touching of a beauty without her permission. The first time a beauty is touched without permission, a warning will be given. If it occurs a second time, a possible second warning MAY be given IF it appears to have happened inadvertently. If a third occasion occurs, the offender will be “booted” into the wasteland.
Rough physical handling of a beauty is a serious offense, usually followed by a quick trial and banishment into the wasteland.
The Law concerning the kadin is harsh and swift! The kadin is the most treasured possession of the Sultan, and by all rights is considered his wife. She is the most talented, beautiful and intelligent of the beauties, and having once served herself, continues this tradition in honor of respected guests. ANY mistreatment of the kadin will bring about an attack by any and all residents of the Harem. Don’t expect a death duel with a set number of posts with judges to decide the outcome. Quite simply, you will be attacked and killed immediately and your dead body “booted” into the wasteland.
Beauties and man servants are expected at all times to be kind and respectful to guests. Should any disobedience occur, they will answer to the Counsel of Oda. The Counsel will decide any punishment deemed in order. Free men and women, or guests who violate this premise will answer to the Divan (court), or directly to the Sultan. The same holds true for guests. Respect and Civility are the way of the Harem.
The females should not refer to themselves, or be referred to as “girl” (i.e. may this girl serve you this evening, Master?). That is Gor slave talk, and should stay in Gor. Here, please speak in first person (i.e. How may I pleasure you this evening, Sir?). When referring to the females, we call them beauties or odas. When referring directly, they all have names. Feel free to use them. An oda will be required to undergo two weeks of training...during this time she will be guided in the ways of the harem...and if needed...instructed in removing the ways of Gor from her manners and speech...upon completion of this...she will then be allowed to serve within the harem...
Sexual favor. This is a Harem, and all things are possible. BUT, it must occur with the permission of the beauty or man servant. They are given free will on this subject by the Sultan, and is written into law by the Divan. If a beauty, or man servant declines the advance of a guest, the decline must be with kindness. No means No, and guests are required to honor this.
{The Only Exception Will Be}
If Your interest is in a collared beauty...You MUST request permission of her Master for matters of Pleasure..
THERE IS NO FORCED COLLARING, of those who enter Oour home to observe. HOWEVER...Forced collars will be placed about the slender necks of slaves who wander free in uncharted homes...
THERE ARE NO RAIDS HERE...If this is your desire, then please…travel back west of the Voltai Mountain Range. Maps will be provided.
Any marriages within the Harem must first be approved by the Sultan, or in his absence, the Valide (Vice) Sultan. Divorces must also be approved by the Sultan or Valide Sultan.
Disputes. Any dispute among odalisques, among man servants, or between odalisques and man servants are to be taken before the Counsel of Oda. Disputes involving a Free Man, Free Woman, or Guest is to be taken before the Divan for resolution. Decisions are final and must be respected by all parties.
Warriors and Guards. All warriors must be Free Men. Only Harem descendents may be in leadership positions. Guards may be either Free Men or man servants. Warriors are responsible for protecting the outer perimeter of the Harem, with Guards protecting the inner perimeter.
