From the Pastor's desk, continued

Let's go to Matthew 26: 34. This time Jesus answers that question to Peter, "Assuredly, I say you that this night before the rooster crows, you will deny Me three times." Peter said to Him, "Even if I have to die with You, I will not deny you and so said all the disciples." A commitment from their mouths. I will not deny You. Are you one that has promised Jesus that you will not deny Him? That you will follow Him? Are you one who's actually keeping that promise? I'm going to ask you again, where are the disciples? Are you keeping that promise? Where have the disciples gone? I heard an interesting thing on TV yesterday. They are all concerned because the bees have disappeared. The bees and the hives they are missing all over the country, bees are missing. Just think what that's going to do to our food chain. What if God took them away? But there is a shortage of bees and there's a shortage of disciples. Where have the disciples gone? Let's go to Mark 14: 53, "And they led Jesus away to a high priest; and with Him were assembled all the chief priests, the elders and the scribes."

"But Peter followed Him (where?) at a distance right into the courtyard of the high priest." "And he sat with servants and warmed himself at the fire." But it doesn't mention that any of the other disciples followed. Now wait a minute, didn't they just promised Him the night before they would never deny Him? And refusing to follow Him is a form of denial. But they said even if we have to lay down our life for You we will not deny You. In Revelation it says "they" meaning "us" overcame satan by the blood of the Lamb, the Word of our testimony, which we receive Jesus as our Savior, and not loving our lives even unto death. The disciples didn't do that third part, they were afraid. But I'm asking you again, where were the disciples? Let's look at Luke 23: 48, "And the whole crowd who came together to that sight, seeing what had been done to Jesus beat their breasts and returned." "But all His acquaintances, and the women who followed Him from Galilee, stood at a distance, watching these things." Stood far off but it doesn't mention any disciples. Where are the disciples?
