Breakfast at the High School   [broadband]   [dial-up - faster loading]

Saturday Dinner at the DoubleTree Hotel   [broadband]   [dial-up - faster loading]

Friday, 7/16/04 and Saturday, 7/17/04. As a committee, we have set a goal to be an equal opportunity Reunion Committee.

By that, we mean that we don't think we should limit the 2004 reunion to just 1964 Harlandale High School Graduates. If you recall, we did not discriminate at our 30th reunion either. It was also open to all who wanted to attend. As a matter of fact...several from other classes did attend our 30th Reunion. Graduating classes on either side of ours are encouraged to attend. For that matter, any year or school...Harlandale High School graduate or not...spouses and significant others...former or current students/faculty can attend. Family members of deceased classmates are also welcome to attend and some have attended previous reunions.

Everyone is welcome! We can't make it any simplier than that!

The more folks the merrier...as the whole idea is to recall friendships, reflect on memories, discuss some of life's events (marriages, children, grandchildren, careers, and blessings), and most of all...to just have fun.

So come one...come all...and bring whomever...it is YOUR reunion, not ours!

If you are unsure about attending because you are too old, too embarassed, too scared, too young, etc. just sign up, send in your money, and get to the event. We will treat you like family and make you feel welcome from that point forward. If you are having second thoughts...just remember this...over time, we are experiencing the continuing dwindling of our ranks, as we "baby boomers" continue to age and experience various health issues...including death. So put your feelings and fears aside as this may be one of your last chances to see people, who were a part of the formative years of our life, perhaps for the last time. Load up your wagon, pack your knapsack, and return to the Indian reservation.

Reunion Event Sites

Friday, 7/16/04 and Saturday, 7/17/04

Three events are the focus of our Fantastic 40th Reunion:

Two are at the reunion headquarters DoubleTree Hotel – 210 + 366-2424 - which is located at 37 NE Loop 410 on the corner of McCullough (North East Corner) diagonally across Loop 410 from North Star Mall (when the Texas size cowboys boots are).

The DoubleTree Hotel is making rooms available for $99 a night (plus applicable taxes) if you identify yourself as a Harlandale graduate who is attending the reunion. Be assured that all your former classmates will enjoy seeing you and visiting with you.

1. Friday, July 16, 2004 - 7:00 P.M. to ?? – On Your Own Dollar Mixer / Social Hour in the Doubletree enclosed Court Yard on the Patio and by the pool.

2. Saturday, July 17, 2004 at 9:00 A.M. to 11:00 A.M. – Breakfast Tacos, Fruit, Sweet Rolls, Coffee, O.J., and Sodas. Our old alma mater of Harlandale High School at 114 East Gerald 210 + 977-1300 (Main Office) 210 + 977-1328 (Cafeteria) 210 + 924-2335 is the site for the Saturday morning breakfast taco feast.

Venue Details

1. An On Your Own Dollar Mixer / Social Hour is set for Friday, 7/16/04 at 7:00 P.M. to ?? – at in the Doubletree Hotel enclosed court yard on the patio and by the pool. It should be in the shade by that time of day.

This will be for all graduates, but especially as a social mixer to entertain out of town graduates and just to get reacquainted with old classmates. Sharing a drink with a classmate and recalling old memories is the task of the evening.

Dress will be casual….breezy summer time cool if you like.

Somewhat limited poolside seating/tables are available on the patio and around the pool.

If you are staying at the hotel, you may want to keep an ice chest with drinks in your room or in your car to reduce your hotel bar costs/charges. For alcoholic beverages, it will be a tricky situation because you would potentially be placing the DoubleTree liquor license in jeopardy by bringing liquor to the premises and drinking liquor bought outside the hotel. You can make the judgement for yourself and assume full responsibilities for your actions should there be any problems.

2. A breakfast reunion kickoff will be held on Saturday, 7/17/04 at 9:00 A.M. in the cafeteria at HHS on Saturday, July 17, 2004 at 9:00 A.M. to 11:00 A.M. with breakfast tacos, fruit, sweet rolls, coffee, O.J., and sodas. Our old alma mater of Harlandale High School at 114 East Gerald, 210 + 977-1300 (Main Office), 210 + 977-1328 (Cafeteria),is the site for the Saturday morning breakfast taco feast and potential campus tour. Marion David Harrell is pursuing potential campus tours of the hallways, campus, athletic facilities, etc. Campus construction, involving moving the cafeteria, may hinder our plans for this event, but we will have the breakfast taco event. It will be touch and go as to what stage the construction will be in by the time of our reunion. Stay tuned for any updated information on this situation.

Dress will be casual.

Attendees will be on their own for lunch on Saturday, 7/17/04 at Noon. This will allow attendees to visit with former classmates, family members, or to shop, relax, or do whatever.

3. A supper and social hour will be held on Saturday evening, 7/17/04 at 6:30 P.M. at the DoubleTree Hotel.
Saturday evening events are as follows:

6:30 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. -- Socializing Mixer
7:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M. -- Sit Down Dinner
9:00 P.M. to Midnight -- Visitation / Memory Lane Time

Background 60's CD Player Music (soft enough to talk) from 9:00 - 11:00 P.M.

Suggested dress will be business casual or just casual if you prefer.

We want you there so come dressed by whatever standard fits your lifestyle!

Wind down and say goodbyes at 11:00 P.M. - 12:00 midnight or beyond if you prefer.

The event cost will be at $50 per person or $100 per couple.

Friday (7/16) and Saturday (7/17) night hotel room charges ARE NOT INCLUDED.

You are on your own for your lodging arrangements.

Please send your money (as soon as possible) for the event to:

Richard Adams
130 Second Street
Boerne, TX. 78006

Additionally, please E-Mail me by clicking on this underlined text. We need to know the number planning to attend from your household so we can keep a running total (for proper catering counts and room size booking purposes). If you do not have the money at this time...that's fine for right now...but we still need to know your intent in order to book the proper size room(s). Please send your money to Richard Adams as soon as possible, but no later than 7/7/04 as we have to finalize arrangements with the hotel.
