In 1997, my husband and I celebrated our tenth anniversary. We
spent three nights and four days at the Moon Palace Resort in Cancun, Mexico.
This is a photograph of myself relaxing on the balcony prior to dinner.
This trip to Cancun was so much more special to me since at the time of
our marriage in 1987, we were financially unable to take a honeymoon.
Marty and I have been married for thirteen years, and I often pray that
we will grow old together. We have a nine year-old daughter named
Brandi who is in the third grade at Union Chapel Elementary School, and
she is absolutely the sunshine of our life. My family and I attend
church at Union Chapel Baptist Church where I am a Sunday School Teacher.
I enjoy listening to music, reading, singing, and eating-- especially at
my favorite restaurant, the Outback. Finally, I am a Junior and English
Education Major at the University of North Carolina at Pembroke.
Upon graduation, I plan to teach at a local high school and return to UNCP
in the Summer of 2002 to begin the Master's Degree Program in English.
