Current Moldovan Minutes--What's happening now
MARCH, 2004
MOLDOVAN MINUTES--#2
The conference consisted of 150 WT workers from 4 areas.  We worshipped, we listened and we learned.  Our Mission Future is preparing for global missions including multi-cultural workers and GOD WILL BE GLORIFIED!!
Sam's small group was a model of the future of our mission. It consisted of WT PRES., Board Member, Field leaders, International Leaders from Indonesia and Romania, and Field workers.l-r Romica Iuga, Albert Ehman, Sam, Dustin, Jeannie King, Phyllis Smith, Ray Yoder, John Karetji.
Since January and our last Moldovan Minutes#1-2004, we have been busy with more networking in the Moldovan Christian community and hosting Paul Lindstedt from America while he was teaching Moldovan leaders, working on vision, goals, and mission statements with the Owens and Jay Weaver, our supervisor, for one week in February, meeting with our collegues to initiate new prayer strategy for Moldova, and  serving our World Team Family from around the world at a Missions Future Conference in Hungary from March 10-27. What a full two months it has been!!
We have also had the opportunity to share with a young Moldovan couple who wish to go on the mission field in the area where we worked for 4 years.  We have helped them with communication with supporters in America, meeting with their national pastor for strategy and planning and training them in how to financially plan for their mission service.
We want to share with you all the work in progress on our vision, purpose, and  mission.  This will continue  with core values and specifics as we dialogue with Owens and the Facilitation Team.

OUR VISION -  the ‘what’
We envision strong reproducing churches filling every neighborhood of Moldova and overflowing into surrounding countries.
Strong--Healthy, based on the Bible, Reproducing--Living organism, Surrounding Countries--Naturally leading to places like CIS, Central Asia, Turkey, countries surrounding the Black Sea.  Want it to move beyond Moldova.
OUR PURPOSE – the ‘why’
We exist to glorify God by facilitating the planting of reproducing churches within reach of every person in Moldova.
by facilitating
We are primarily a facilitation team; cf World Team MISSION FUTURE document and reference to kinds of teams.
The object of the facilitation includes the encouragment & assistance of Moldovans to better fulfill their Great Commision mandate beyond Moldova.  (see below)
We include the modifier “reproducing” because too often, especially among our N. American constituents and occasionally among our Moldovan relationships, the commonly-used word “church” implies a building, perhaps a body of believers, but seldom an organism bent on reproducing itself.
We definitely mean that “reproducing” includes the biblical responsibility of the Moldovan Church to engage cross-cultural, Great Commission ministry …to see churches planted, to saturation, abroad.
“strength”, “healthy” and “establish” are not ignored – they are implied within the ability to reproduce.
OUR MISSION -  the ‘how’
Our MDtm accomplishes its SCP purpose by facilitating prayer & vision casting to recruit, build relationships and equip a harvest force with an emphasis on the multi-cultural climate of Moldova.
further comments:
“training” not mentioned; avoiding teaching trap at schools.
Our little team facilitatates relationships that become harvest force that go out to multi-cultural fields of the world.
MDtm more intimately engaging the prayer and vision casting, while others do the equipping.

The World Team Missions Future conference allowed us to re-evaluate our lives and ministry in relation to the vision, purpose and mission of our field and where we are headed in community.  One of the main things Sam and I both realized was the impact on our prayer lives and the way that we pray.  You will notice changes in our prayer requests and looking at them in light of Ephesians and the way Paul prayed.
We want to ask and expect GREAT THINGS FROM THE LORD IN OUR LIVES and grow spiritually in the process.
John Karetji , an Indonesian brother, gave a testimony on how the Gospel has impacted his life in the last five years since Caliraya. He proposed to us that "Until the Gospel is all you have, you won't realize that it is all you need." His passion is that we all would embrace the Gospel because of the spiritual blessings it brings. After his testimony, several people spontaneously gave examples of how the Gospel had impacted them, both over the last several years and up to only days ago. It's obvious that the Gospel has been internalized by many in World Team.  PRAISE AND GLORY TO THE LORD!!
Paul Thompson (Leadership Training, Dominican Republic) opened the Ephesians study with an insightful lesson on chapter 1:1-14. We learned that God has chosen us, together as a body, from eternity past. He reminded us that we don't really understand the grand scale of our calling. No matter how small our ministry seems it is a vital part of the eternal plan of God played out on a universal stage.
Small group discussions, introduction to the discussion on Mission Future and communion were other highlights of the conference. Anticipation? No doubt, great things are already beginning to happen!
We see how our ministry is truly in line with the new vision and focus of World Team.

God is blessing our mission and ministry and we wanted you to share that blessing.
