What Crossover (CCI) Does in Mission Moldova
What was their goal?
Vision: "To help complete the Great Commission throughout the Whole of Eurasia."
When the Iron Curtain began to fall in the late 1980's and early 1990's, Crossover recognized the open window of opportunity and began exploring options for taking the gospel into these formerly closed countries. As the decade progressed, possibilities became passions and observation led to vision. Staggering statistics became individual names and faces with very real needs.
To fulfill it's vision, Crossover set out in Phase 1 to establish a church planting movement in Moldova, a small country that was formerly part of the Soviet Union. The goal was for each church to quickly become led and financially supported by the Moldovans themselves, with the hope that they would then multiply many more such churches.
Initially, Crossover planned to start five churches by the year 2000. By 1997, after realizing the major challenges we faced, the leadership revised the target goal from five to two churches, thinking that two would be faith stretching.
What is the status?
Today, God has used the missionaries to start one church and partner with another Moldovan church to help plant eight more churches. This is in addition to the two-year ministry training center they run with over 60 Moldovans enrolled.
Truly Ephesians 3:20 is a fitting verse for what has been accomplished. "Now to Him who is able to do exceeding abundantly beyond all that we ask or think, according to the power that works within us."

Short-Term Workers with CP workers training nationals and evangelizing in Moldova
This month several of the CCI churches have invited teams of Christians from the US to come and help strengthen their churches and reach out to the unreached in Moldova.
The Church of the Great Commission in central Chisinau is using skits, songs, and a cultural fair to reach out to the community. The team from Texas first trained the members of the church and now are inviting the unchurched to two weeks of outreach.
God's Design Church in Botanica just completed a week of camp for the entire church and their unsaved friends with the help of a team from South Carolina. Several of the unsaved repented and have started coming to the church. These leaders had the opportunity to see God work in miraculous ways at this camp.
Lord's Resurrection Church just went down the Nistru River in boats for a one week camping outreach with a youth team from North Carolina. They took 30 Moldovan youth with them and saw some new converts come to their church in Ciocana from their work.
