Analytical Engine (Standard)

The standard analytical engine is available from a variety of sources and is used much as any other computer in FF&S.

The analytical engine has an intelligence of 1 with regards to programming, and may be programmed in a manner similar to that used to program a robotic brain (see Vampire Fleets for details).  Analytical engines may only run one program at a time, and the number of turns required to remove an old program and insert a new one is equal to the skill level of the program.

Analytical Engine (Super Genius)

The super genius analytical engine is available only to a few (rich) governments and the occasional nefarious arch-villain.

The super genius analytical engine has an intelligence of 3 with regards to programming, and may be programmed in a manner similar to that used to program a robotic brain (see Vampire Fleets for details).  Super genius analytical engines may run up to three programs at a time, and the number of turns required to remove an old program and insert a new one is equal to the skill level of the program.
