Range Breakdown for Nuclear Pumped X-Ray Lasers

For the gearheads and simply curious among you, here is the range breakdown for nuclear-pumped X-Ray lasers:

Possible Uses:  The Ęther Traveller Campaign uses a modification of Brilliant Lances/Book 2 Spaceship Combat to resolve space combat.  The scale is set at 1mm = 300 km.  At this scale we set the following ranges:

Short = 10mm
Medium = 20mm
Long = 40mm
Extreme = 80mm

At 24,000 km, the extreme range blast template would just fit into a BL hex (100mm).  To determine the range at which the missile detonates, the missile controller rolls an Average task:

Outstanding Success = Short Range (10 Dice)
Success = Medium Range (7 Dice)
Failure = Long Range (4 Dice)
Catastrophic Failure = Extreme Range (1 Die)

The dice listing after the range indicates the number of dice rolled for actual hits.  The target number is the TL of the detonating warhead.  For example, a successful roll is made with a TL 15 100kt warhead.  This indicates that the player may roll 4 dice for hits (hits scored on 15 or less), each hit resolved with 1/18-56 penetration/damage.
