| Benjamin Alpheus Baker - born Jan. 11, 1840 - Carroll County, Arkansas. He died Nov. 18, 1891 - Carroll County, Arkansas. Married Laura Adeline Moody in 1858 in Carroll County, Arkansas - and a second time to Matilda Evans Wood, in 1880 in Carroll County. Enlisted as a Private in Co. C, 7th Reg. Arkansas Cavalry. Was captured in August 15, 1863, and was sent to MP in St. Louis, Missouri and transferred to Camp Morton, Indiana on November 11, 1863. He was released on oath May 18, 1865. Buried - Shady Grave Cemetery, Carroll County Arkansas. |
