AUTISTIC BEHAVIOR - Members included: John Smith (vocals), Wayne Risner (guitar), Craig Surgent (bass), John Blanda (drums). We existed from the summer of 1980 until January of 1983. We were all based in NJ to begin with, but eventually two of us moved to Philly. We still played for a while after this, but it was one of the reasons it became more difficult to keep it together. Throughout our time, we got to play with a number of great bands and had a lot of wild experiences. We played with the DEAD KENNEDYS (twice), BLACK FLAG, T.S.O.L. (a couple times), ZERO BOYS, BEASTIE BOYS (early Punk days), D.O.A., and also played with BAD BRAINS at an Elks Center at 16th + Fitzwater which was called Action Ritual. We recorded what was an album called "Shattered Cattle" - which Alternative Tentacles was interested in releasing, but things fell apart soon after that and the only songs that were released were "TV Messiah" and "Powerhead" on the Red Records comp called "Get Off Our Backs". |
