EARWAX RETRO FANZINE
ADD-ON page: Additional band information submitted by site visitors and/or new gems I've just uncovered. Thanks to all who have responded!
The following information was submitted by Karyn Waladkewics.
JERSEY FRESH - They played a few shows at City Gardens in Trenton - most notably with Suicidal Tendancies. Todd later joined the Bootboys from OC California, and about five years ago, reformed with Dave and Erik Lace as FATS. Dave and Eric have done a few interesting projects inbetween.
As for me, I was the original drummer for both
DIRGE and PUBLIC DISTURBANCE.

MECHANIZED DEATH - from Montclair, NJ. Formed in 1982 (from the earlier "New Wave"/cover band The Advertisers (1980). Paul May (vocals) and Steve Williams (drums) left in 1984. They released a tape (produced by R.Stevie Moore) in 1984 with Kenichi Sugaihara (bass), Jon Skolinik (guitar), Steve Stadtmauer (vocals), and Doron Abraham (drums).
Gigs: The Rainbow Lounge in Passaic, NJ in 1984 with Sacred Denial/AOD/Violent Children, and with the Cro-Mags - also at the Rainbow Lounge.
The band dissolved in 1985.
Where are they now? Skolinik is a college prof. in Oregon - Sugaihara is the producer of public access TV show "Ask Abe".
The following was submitted by Joe Saggese:
MY 3 SONS - The original band CRIBDEATH consisted of Joe Tubito (guitar), Joe Saggese (bass), and Paul Richards (drums). Lenny Sblendorio played drums at the only live performance in Newark, NJ. I have the only cassette of Cribdeath - with Paul playing drums - recorded in Joe Tubito's basement in 1982. BLACK SAMBO consisted of Mike Upson (guitar), Chris Frieri (bass), Scott Frank (drums), and Diva (vocals). That was the most awsome band ever! Chris may still have their demo tape. When Cribdeath and Black Sambo broke up, myself, Chris, and Scott got together and formed MY 3 SONS in 1982 with "Starving Artist" as the first song ever. The first gig was at Patrick's in New Brunswick. After a year, My 3 Sons added Bob Anderson (wally, the artist who drew the picture of the "New Jersey's Got It" album) as the second guitar player. In 1985, My 3 Sons became BEEF JERKY and THE ONE WAY TRIP - rehashing 1960's psych songs adding Joe Tubito (lead guitar), Bob Anderson (rhythm guitar), Chris Frieri (bass), Scott Frank (drums), and me as Beef Jerky. Beef Jerky broke up in 1985 after the Slime Fest in Newark (Johnny Dirt). Scott has since passed away.
UPDATE
Joe and Chris are working are working on some old tape with plans of releasing a My 3 Sons CD in December (2003'). They also have a new website with plenty of pictures, band history, discography, and packed with interesting info from this era. Definately check it out.
