About Collars and Ownership
What is a collar?  What does it really mean to be owned by another?
A collar can be many different things depending on each person's beliefs, desires and wants.  To me a collar is the ultimate commitment in a D/s relationship.  It means you belong to that person absolutely and completely and you are committed to each other totally.  It is as binding to me as a wedding ring and not something I would ever accept lightly.

A collar is around my heart long before it will ever be placed on my neck because ultimately that is what a collar is to me a symbol of the chains that have already bound my heart to he whom owns me.

There are various types of collars you will hear discussed.  I feel there is more then enough information available and that I have provided links for to cover that area so I will not go into collars of consideration, training collars etc.

Being owned by another may seem like a fantasy to most people. Understandably so.  It is far beyond their perception of what is "normal" or right in a relationship.

Being owned might seem like an ideal escape from responsibility for those people that seek such things.
However in reality nothing could be further from the truth.  Being owned brings its own set of responsibilities to a slaves life.  Note that I use the term slave because I was taught that slaves are owned, submissives are not.

When one is owned it becomes their responsibility to take the utmost care of their Master's property, namely themselves.  They have the responsibility of always being obedient.  Always placing their Owners needs above their own.  His wants, desires, pleasures expectations and rules are their primary focus and therefore their responsbility which in turn gives her happiness.
