I am from a dark circle
that has never been broken.
I am from silence
where no voice is spoken
I am from the cold
that's why I am so bold.
I am from such pain
but my life is not in vain.
I have come from my own prison
I have risen
I have broken the circle
and the silence.

I am from a unique but wonderful place.
I am from the highest mountain range.
I am from a place where fires are spotted
from a tower.
I am from a place where animals run free dogs, donkeys, horses, and cows.
I come a place where family is important,
we cherish everyday we spend together.

I am from a place where flood waters can't reach, but high winds are harsh.
I am from a place where stars shine bright and the sun bursts through my bedroom window each morning
I am from a place so wonderful, so blessed that it feels very close to Heaven.

I am from an odd mixture of Heaven and hell
with beauty and ugliness strangely blended
I am from a place where family is strong
And held scared above all else
I am from a place that fuels hatred at times
With unlimited criticism and prejudice.
I am from a place where heritage is important
But ridiculed by the outside world
I am from defeats,losses,and failures
Made all too evident in a small town
I am from success,,joy, and triumph
Prided by an entire community
I am from a town so small
Most want to escape
Only to find they miss their home
I am from a place so hated and loved that it bewilders me
I know that I am from a place
I will always call home

I'm from a place of wind and rain,
Of a mid-winter snow,
A place where the flowers grow.
A place,
A place I know
A place I call home
I'm from a place of fireflies,
Of first-time love,
Of kindness to your neighbors,
A place for the heart to grow.
A place,
A place to love,
A place to laugh,
A place we all know.
It's from a place I call home.

I am from a small town,
very lonely and quiet.

I am from a place where folks  talk with a slang, a place where people talk too much.
There is nothing around here for me, just hills, and trees.
There are no jobs or shopping stores, but the people are nice, except for the drunk ones you have to ignore.

Brandon
I am from a  place surrounded by trees
and mountains
Where nobody cares who you are or where you're from
I am from a little community where half the population is related in some way
I am from a place where  prejudice is still alive
I am from two made one
with love built so strong
I am from my mother's smile
that welcomes me everyday
I am from my father's heart
loving and strong
I am from a family of eight
where dinner's a hassle, so don't be late
  I am from God
who always succeeds in showing me
his love
Tina
I am from a small town in a rural state
out in the country
I am from a small family
I am surrounded by Christianity
I am friendly and have lots of friends
But I am tied down in a world of  aggression
and a world of mixed emotions
I am living in a world filled with frustration and anger
And sometimes
I feel like I am in blackness
Alena

I am from a place that is much more different than a place where every face is familiar, but is stained with so many thoughts of before.
I am from a place where you couldn't forget
But where you wouldn't forget
If you could
I am different from this place that I call home
I am not like anyone
around me here
I am from a welcoming place
with a strong background
I am from a place that will
always be home

I am someone most people may not know
I will make my mark
But not today
I am a person of no wealth
I will be a person of complete
independence
I am a person from a broken family
I will have all that I did not
I am a person who works hard for what I have
Who respects all those who are less fortunate
I am a teenager who destroys
more than she fixes
I will be an adult who does
what others will not
I was a person that played all day
I am a person who will graduate and say good -by
I will live all my dreams and goals
Samatha
I am from my mother
     a loving caring soul,
I am from her creativity
      and her love
I am from my father
     a strong and trusting man
I am from his spirit,
     heart and blood
I am from my grandparents
who struggled to make ends meet
I am from the Lord Jesus
whom no one can beat
I am from a world
      of cold and alone
I am from this poem
which I created on my own.
