Haruka/Michiru

Seven of Nine(Annika Hansen)/Kathryn Janeway

"Michiru?" The voice from the former Borg drone was soft.

"Haruka?" Oh that voice, that tone...it sent shivers down her spine.

"How in hell did this happen? I'm not a drone, I'm a racer. But I remember everything about being a drone and being assimilated. What's going on here? I don't understand any of this." (Neither does the audience, but what the hell...)

Kathryn/Michiru walked over to Seven/Haruka and took her into her arms. "Honey, it's ok. We'll figure this out. There's nothing we can't handle, remember?"

Haruka/Seven grinned down at Michiru/Kathryn. "Yeah, like that time that we were at the beach and you didn't realize it was a nudist beach until-"

Michiru/Kathryn brought her hand down over Haruka/Seven's mouth. She glared up at her lover. "I remember perfectly well what happened. You nearly broke your neck looking at all the pretty girls."

Haruka/Seven immediately looked contrite and tried to redeem herself in her lover's eyes.

"Aww, honey, it was only until I saw you. After I saw you I couldn't have looked anywhere else if I wanted to."

"As I recall you didn't mind looking at me until you noticed that you weren't the only one looking."

Haruka/Seven began to fume. "He had no right to look at you!"

"Actually, honey, I believe he was looking at you."

Haruka/Seven looked down at Michiru/Kathryn incredulously.

"Why anyone would want to look at me when they could be looking at you is beyond me."

Michiru/Kathryn opened her mouth to retort, but was interrupted by a chirp at the door.

"Enter." She called out before she could remember that Haruka/Seven held her in a warm embrace. Chakotay entered, looking down at the PADD in his hand.

"Captain, there seems to be a-" At that moment he raised his head. The PADD slipped out of his slackened hand as his jaw dropped. "C-Captain?"

"Yes, Commander? Is there something wrong?" Michiru/Kathryn still remained in Haruka/Seven's arms. Her hands remained on her lover's shoulders.

"Umm...I think I'll come back later."

"No, Commander. Sit." Michiru/Kathryn knew they needed help. Unlike her lover, she knew when they were in over their heads.

She tapped her comm badge. "Computer." It chirped in response. She looked as though she were about to speak, then paused. "Hold message, computer."

She turned to Haruka/Seven. "Who do you think, love?"

Haruka/Seven furrowed her brow and frowned as she thought. How adorable... Michiru thought.

"I'm not sure, love. Maybe Neelix and the doctor. We should get you checked out. Hell, invite the whole senior staff."

Michiru/Kathryn smiled and lightly slapped Haruka/Seven on the arm. "You're the one who needs to get checked out. Computer, resume message. Inform the senior staff they are required in my Ready room for a briefing. And tell the doctor to bring his medikit." The computer chirped in response.

"Kathryn? Are you alright?"

As his Captain had ordered, Chakotay was sitting. He looked at Kathryn/Michiru as though she were out of her mind.

"I feel perfectly fine, Commander."

Chakotay watched her warily. A hand clamped down on his shoulder, causing him to jump.

"You might consider showing your captain a bit more respect, Commander."

The hand that was squeezing his shoulder painfully belonged to Haruka/Seven. She was frowning down at him, the look in her eyes rather frightening to anyone who wanted to keep themselves without injury.

"Damn, woman, you must really enjoy the couch."

Chakotay was shocked further by the instant change that befell the normally emotionally controlled former drone.

"Oh, honey, come on, I was just-"

"Just?" An eyebrow arched.

"Oh, honey, don't do that, you know what it does to me, you know I love you, please, I'm sorry, don't do this to me..."

Chakotay was so shocked he couldn't move. Seven had just told the Captain "I love you" and insinuated the Captain knew it? What was going on?

Before he could ask any questions, the door chirped.

"We'll continue this discussion later." Kathryn/Michiru stated as she gave her lover a hard look. Seven/Haruka cowered meekly.

"Yes, Ma'am."

Kathryn/Michiru nodded as turned to the door.

"Enter."

Neelix, the doctor, B'Elanna, Tom, Harry and Tuvok all walked in.

"Have a seat."

They sat, all looking at the Captain.

"Computer. Erect a level ten force field around all personnel with in the room except the doctor, myself and Seven."

They were all effectively trapped. Their faces were a study in shock and disbelief.

"Before anyone says anything let me explain. I have no intention to harm anyone. This is merely so that I can talk to you and not be assaulted."

She turned to the doctor. "You are here to make sure that one, there are no alien beings in either mine or Seven's body, and to make sure that we are sane. Computer." A chirp. "Activate holoemitters." She looked at the doctor. "I'm sorry, but it's the only way." She disengaged his program from the mobile emitter. She tossed the emitter to Seven, who caught it deftly.

"WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON HERE?"

Predictably, B'Elanna had regained the use of her voice and was employing it to the utmost.

"Lieutenant, you do not need to yell. We can hear you perfectly well."

Haruka/Seven sauntered over to the captive Klingon half breed. She leaned over very close to her face and spoke softly.

"You might want to keep your voice down. You might also consider talking to your Captain in a respectful tone. After all, I'm still an errant drone aren't I?" She raised her hand and let her nanoprobes wiggle threateningly in front of B'Elanna's face. She pulled them back in. "Besides, Lieutenant, I am more than your equal in any field of combat." Her face hardened and she glared at B'Elanna. "So watch it."

Kathryn/Michiru was slowly shaking her head, a smile teasing her lips.

"Really, love, you would think you had learned after Galaxia." Haruka/Seven shrugged, a slight smile on her lips.

The doctor looked at them as though they had gone out of their minds. "Are you ill?"

They turned to the doctor. Seven/Haruka spoke.

"No, doctor. We are healthy. Just...displaced."

He scanned them, wanting to discover what was wrong with them. He tapped his tricorder and shook his head.

"Physically, you two are perfectly fit, better than healthy in fact. There's no sign of any alien's in you two. But there is one thing."

He looked up at them.

"According to this, you are both over 400 years old."

Seven/Haruka merely twitched an eyebrow. Sounds of shocked disbelief came from the people who were trapped.

"That sounds about right."

Kathryn/Michiru looked at the people gathered before her. She knew them as her crew. Her friends. And yet, she also didn't know them.

She wracked her brain trying to figure out a way to tell them what she knew she must.

"We have traveled together for over six years. In that time, we have become close friends. You know I would do everything in my power to keep my crew safe." The people around the table glanced at each other and nodded slowly. "I know what I am going to say will sound strange and unbelievable to you. Know that everything I am telling you right now is the truth." Another round of nods.

"I am fully aware that I am on the Federation starship Voyager, on my way home with my crew after years of crossing the Delta Quadrant. I am also fully aware that not less than two hours ago, I died after fighting the warrior queen Galaxia."

A chorus of "WHAT's" immediately rose. The doctor was scanning her again. He looked at the crew and shook his head. She was fine.

"I know how that sounds. It is the truth. I am not only Captain Kathryn Janeway. I am also Kaiou Michiru, Sailor Neptune and defender of Sailor Moon."

"That's a cartoon show from the twentieth century!" Tom exclaimed, a stupefied look on his face.

"No, Lieutenant. It is reality."

"It can't be! It was a cartoon show! A cartoon!" Tom was beginning to become hysterical. The doctor administered a sedative.

"I'm now fully aware that my world you know as a cartoon from an ancient time. There is a simple explanation, I would assume."

"Yeah, we were killed and sent here. Why I don't know."

Everyone was calmed enough to be shocked by the casual use of contractions and language by Seven. It was out of character for her.

Kathryn/Michiru's face clouded as she realized something.

"No, Haruka. This is one of Q's tricks, I'll bet."

A flash of light filled the room.

"Brilliant deduction, water senshi!" Q bowed to the room flicked his wrist in the direction of the crew that sat at the table. For a second they were engulfed in a flash of light and the dumbfounded looks dissapeared from their faces.

"As much as it is against my nature to help anyone, I simply could not resist the impulse to mess with your lives this way. I pulled the spirits of Haruka and Michiru from their world into this one, into a pair of bodies that would...accommodate everything you two are most comfortably."

"What the hell are you talking about, Q?" Kathryn/Michiru was beginning to get upset with the omnipotent being in her ready room.

"It's rather simple, Kathryn...or should I say, Michiru?" He threw his head back and laughed. "It doesn't matter right now. You see, my dear, you are equal parts Kathryn and Michiru." He grinned. "I WAS nice enough to leave you with your henshin wands, so don't even be upset with me. And I would recommend explaining to your lover there about that little protocol that says you can't date."

"Why you-"

"I know, I know, I'm just too adorable. Now that I've done my good deed for the millennium, I believe it is time to leave. Oh, one last thing...Don't forget to tell Kathryn and Seven all about the experience Michiru and Haruka have in bed." With that, the infuriating Q was gone in another brilliant flash of light.

"I never thought I would hate anyone more than Galaxia..."

"Kathryn?" Michiru/Kathryn looked at Chakotay.

"Yes, Commander?"

He breathed a sigh of relief. It was her in there, regardless of who else was.

"Do you think it would be possible to let us loose?"

"Computer, release all personnel."

"Thank you, Kathryn."

Haruka/Seven stepped up, her narrowed eyes trained on Chakotay. Michiru/Kathryn touched her arm.

"You know he calls me by my first name, love. And you know perfectly well there is no way I could ever be with him. Not when I have you."

Haruka/Seven's stony countenance cleared up and she smiled tenderly down at Kathryn/Michiru. She leaned down and kissed her lover gently on the lips.

"I love you."

"I love you too."

"Captain."

They turned to Tuvok.

"I believe it would be best for you and Seven to refrain from any further displays of affection. The crew might misconstrue them."

"You mean more than they already do, Tuvok?"

The stern Vulcan arched his eyebrow. "Exactly, Captain. Once the spirits of Michiru and Haruka are gone, you might find yourself in a difficult position."

Harry spoke. "I don't think so, Tuvok. Haven't you seen the way the Captain looks at Seven when she thinks no one is looking?"

Neelix looked thoughtful. "And there are all those times when the Captain has been in Astrometrics when she didn't need to be..."

Harry looked triumphant. "Exactly!"

Kathryn/Michiru was blushing furiously. "Ummm, well, I can explain that..."

They turned to her. "Ummm...."

"She just can't resist me." Haruka/Seven grinned at everyone. "Ow!" She rubbed her arm. "Aww, come on, Michiru, why are you turning into Rei?"

Michiru/Kathryn sniffed indignantly. "I am not turning into Rei. That would make you Usagi." Michiru/Kathryn got a calculating look and began to advance on her lover. "Although that wouldn't be SO bad..."

Haruka/Seven began to back up, her hands up to fend off Michiru/Kathryn. "Now Michiru, come on, you know I was joking...I don't want to be Usagi...You're not Rei, you're the most wonderful and beautiful soldier I've ever seen...please don't hurt me?" The last was a pitiful sounding plea.

The crew was in fits of laughter at this point. Those two were just too much!

Michiru/Kathryn stopped her advance and placed her hands on her hips. "Do you apologize for calling me Rei?"

Haruka/Seven nodded vigorously. "Yes, yes, yes! I'm sorry!"

Michiru/Kathryn narrowed her eyes. "And do you apologize for taking a shuttle and making me have to beam out there to get you back?"

Haruka/Seven nodded. "Yes, yes, I do, I'm so sorry, love, I didn't know I was hurting you that badly, I'm sorry, please forgive me-" Michiru/Kathryn stopped the flow of Haruka/Seven's words by pulling her head down and kissing her soundly.

There were a couple of catcalls from behind them as they broke apart.

Haruka/Seven was grinning again.

Michiru/Kathryn turned back to her crew.

"I take it no one has a problem with this, then."

A chorus of whoops and yells went up. Haruka/Seven smiled down on Michiru/Kathryn.

"Captain, I believe it would be best to inform the rest of the crew of this. We could have a party!"

Haruka/Seven furrowed her brow at Neelix's suggestion.

"For some reason, I don't think they will all accept it as easily as you have."

Chakotay nodded. "I can see where you would be concerned-" He glanced at Haruka/Seven, who shot him a chilling glare. "-Captain. I think that Q made us understand what is happening to you. I can only hope it extended to the whole ship."

Neelix interrupted.

"If I may, I speak to a lot of the crew about this. There is even a pool going on among the lower decks as to when you and Seven will...what was the phrase? Oh yes, `get it on.' I have not heard of any crewmember who is not in favor of you having a mate."

"Even if that mate is Borg."

"B'Elanna, you are walking the fine line between Head of Engineering and Scrubber of Bulkheads." B'Elanna gulped.

"Sorry." The word was clipped and Haruka/Seven was hard put to not bust out laughing.

Haruka/Seven just leaned back against a bulkhead and crossed her arms, shaking her head. Be'lanna saw and walked right up to her.

"You got something to say?"

Haruka/Seven looked down at Be'lanna with an almost bored look on her face.

"Why, Liutenant, whatever gave you that idea?"

Be'lanna growled out a few choice Klingon phrases under her breath.

Haruka/Seven quirked an eyebrow(and the fans all melted) and merely asked, "And what shall I do when I finish that?"

Be'lanna glared at Haruka/Seven and was suddenly struck by the sheer hilarity of it all. Seven, the emotionless former drone, was standing in front of her, baiting her for a fight! Of all the... Be'lanna couldn't hold it back. She tipped her head back and laughed uproariously.

Michiru/Kathryn quirked an eyebrow as she smiled at the play between her lover and her Chief Engineer. Haruka really needed a better way to get out her agression. Michiru had a few ideas...

"Number one." Michiru/Kathryn grinned. "I always wanted to say that. Chakotay, you have command until further notice. Find someone to cover Astrometrics as well. Be'lanna, find a way to relocate the alcove to my quarters. Until further notice, the tall blonde and I are on vacation."

Tom nearly creamed his pants at the thought of the Captain and Seven and what they would be doing in the Captain's Quaters(once again proving his immature *insert general Yiddish phrases here, a la Linda Richman*).

Haruka/Seven caught the sudden jerk by Tom Paris and could hazard a guess as to why he was suddenly fidgety. Next to him, Harry seemed to have developed the same problem from seeing Seven as more than a pretty face and hot body. An unholy glint of humor nestled deep in Haruka/Seven's eyes. If she couldn't tease the Inners, maybe she could have some fun at these two's expense.

Michiru/Kathryn saw the glint in her lover's eye and saw who she was thinking of tormenting. She caught Haruka/Seven's eye.

"Don't even think about it, wind chaser." Her tone was stern, the command voice that set people to snapping to attention. "Awww, honey, come on, I never get to have any fun..." Her voice was pleading, an odd tone indeed from the tall blonde.

"Oh yeah? What do you call that side trip to the Lex, hmmm? As I recall, you had a lot of fun that night! And then the trip to the O'Farrell Brother's theater, I don't remember any complaints that night!"

"Awww, honey..."

"You've actually been to the O'Farrell Brothers Theater? Really?" Now Tom was a great deal more excited, almost as excited as when they had found the 39'ers truck and he had started it.

"What the hell is the O'Farrel Brothers Theater?" Be'lanna interrupted.

"A strip club in San Francisco." Michiru/Kathryn stated simply.

Neelix looked shocked. "Captain! You've been to a strip club?"

Michiru/Kathryn looked over at Neelix. "At Haruka's request. She's still working THAT one off."

Neelix chuckled at that. Tuvok arched an eyebrow. Humans could be amusing at times.

"Haruka, we should really go to my quarters now."

Michiru/Kathryn blushed as she was greeted with various catcalls and whoops for a second time. Haruka/Seven grinned over at her.

"Can't wait to get your hands on me again, dear?"

Michiru/Kathryn glared at Haruka/Seven halfheartedly. She flipped her hair and huffed as though she were insulted.

"You two are never going to be able to fool the crew." Harry noted. "You wouldn't be able to fool ANYONE."

The doctor spoke up. "Of course, we could just say this is the result of a flu." Everyone turned to stare at him. "Or not." He grumbled.

"I seriously doubt anyone would believe the Captain and Seven were the only ones exposed to a flu. Besides, there's an easier way." Michiru/Kathryn's head quirked to the side and Haruka/Seven nodded in agreement.

"Site to site transport. A most efficient way of solving our current problem." Haruka/Seven nodded as she spoke. Her features were schooled and controlled as she spoke the next words. "Is there any way the transporters can be programmed to leave behind her cloth-OW!"

Michiru/Kathryn had not just smacked Haruka/Seven, she had fully decked her in the arm. Haruka/Seven was rubbing her arm and whining.

"I'm gonna have to have the doctor check me out now!"

"Oh, you big baby."

"Doctor! She bruised me! I'll never be able to race again! Not even the nanoprobes can take care of this injury! Oh I'm dying, I'm dying!" Everyone was trying REALLY REALLY HARD to not bust out with peals of laughter.

The doctor let out a long suffering sigh and scanned Haruka/Seven quickly.

"You give the sopranos a new level of exaggeration to strive for. There! You won't even bruise." Michiru/Kathryn just smiled and shook her head. Be'lanna had a disbelieving smile on her face.

"I can't believe it. Our perfect Borg brought down by One-Punch Janeway. I never thought I'd live to see the day."

Haruka/Seven glared at Be'lanna.

"Obviously you've never had her hit you!"

Be'lanna smirked.

"I'll leave the bedroom games to you two."

"Enough!" Michiru/Kathryn burst out, laughing all the while. "Computer, two for site to site transport, Captain's quarters." She turned to her crew. "Dismissed! Computer, energize!"

Haruka/Seven and Michiru/Kathryn dissapeared in the twinkle of the transporter.

Chakotay turned to the crew. "Well, shall we?" They left to their proscribed duties.

Haruka/Seven and Michiru/Kathryn rematerialized in the Captain's quarter's a moment after they had dematerialized in the Ready Room. Haruka/Seven groaned and stretched.

"Uuuunnnhhh....oh that feels good. Hmmm...Seven has apparently catalogued the Captain's various fetishes, as she has been able to gather." Haruka drawled lazily as she scratched her ribs thru the tight fitting biosuit. "Can I get out of this yet?"

Michiru/Kathryn gazed hungrily at Haruka/Seven.

Huskily, she said, "Remind me to thank the doctor for his fashion sense."

Haruka/Seven grinned over at Michiru/Kathryn. "So you WERE looking at my butt in the Ready Room. I thought you were."

Michiru/Kathryn moved up behind her lover, cupping the aforementioned butt. She growled low in her throat as she squeezed with her small strong hands.

"Damn, baby, how anyone could look at anything else when they have you to look at is beyond me, no matter which body you're in."

Haruka/Seven swallowed and closed her eyes. "Does this mean that the Captain is in love with Seven, Michiru?"

Michiru/Kathryn kept clenching and unclenching her hands as she thought for a split second.

"Of course she is...just as much as I'm in love with you, Haruka."

Haruka/Seven smiled contentedly. As Seven, she would never have been able to ask that question, just as Kathryn would never have been able to answer as Michiru/Kathryn had.

Haruka/Seven spun around and swept Michiru/Kathryn up in her arms.

"Mmmm.....It always feels good to have you in my arms, baby."

Michiru/Kathryn laughed and circled her arms around Haruka/Seven's neck. She pulled her in for a kiss. When they pulled apart, all four people knew there could be no consummation in the present state of...being.

Michiru/Kathryn smiled happily up at Haruka/Seven.

"You know...it's been awhile since we've been able to cuddle like we used to."

A shadow crossed Haruka/Seven's face and a saddened cast came over her features.

"Yes...there's been so much going on, it's been hard to find time to sleep, much less cuddle, like the old days." Without another word, Haruka/Seven carried Michiru/Kathryn over to the bed and lay her on the mattress. She removed the biosuit and replaced it with an extra large t-shirt she replicated. She undressed Michiru/Kathryn slowly, leaving her underwear on. Then, she lifted the sheet and slid in next to her lover.

Michiru/Kathryn immediately snuggled up next to Haruka/Seven.

"Oh, baby..." Haruka/Seven breathed. "You mean so much to me."

Michiru/Kathryn smiled into Haruka/Seven's chest.

"Chakotay to Captain Janeway." The soft muffled beep and drone of his voice shattered the moment that had been building. Michiru/Kathryn scrambled for her tunic and commbadge. Haruka/Seven lay on her back, cursing softly to the ceiling.

"Janeway here."

"Captain, there's an incident in Fair Haven again. The Micheal Sullivan character has the mobile emitter."

A feral growl came from the body underneath her. "Haruka! Don't even think about it!"

"Captain?"

Michiru/Kathryn spoke to Chakotay once more. "Take care of it by whatever means necessary, Chakotay. Janeway out."

Michiru/Kathryn was glad that Haruka was in there with Seven, because otherwise, there would DEFINITELY be no reasoning with her.

"Haruka! Seven! Listen to me!" Michiru/Kathryn grabbed her head and held it still, so she could look into her lover's eyes. "This is the truth, from both of us! We love you! The Micheal Sullivan thing was a last ditch effort to try and deny what I felt for you! Please, believe me! I love you, Annika Hansen, Tertiary Adjunct to Unimatrix 01. You are the only person in the universe for me."

Before Michiru/Kathryn had finished talking, Haruka/Seven's eyes had calmed and she was smiling up at Michiru/Kathryn with love.

So the next words were somewhat of a surprise, but not much.

"Can I kill him anyway?"

Michiru/Kathryn groaned and dropped her head on her lover's shoulder.

"Ara, Haruka, what am I going to do with you?"

Haruka/Seven wrapped her arms around Michiru/Kathryn.

"Love me, my dear. Just...love me."

Haruka/Seven and Michiru/Kathryn found no need to remove themselves from the Captain's quarters for the next two weeks. Be'lanna had found a way to relocate the alcove with a minimum of difficulty within 36 hours. Both Kathryn and Seven had enough replicator rations that they had no need to go to the mess hall unless they felt like it, and with Neelix bringing them dishes, they didn't even need to use many of those.

After two weeks, Q was back. This time he appeared in their quarters. He was most gracious, actually...Kathryn began to wonder if he hadn't gotten into some drugs or something.

He sent the spirits of Haruka and Michiru back to their bodies with nothing more than a brief flash. Then with a rakish grin and another flash, he was gone.

Which left a sparsely dressed Kathryn and Seven alone for the first time in two weeks. They had learned much from Haruka and Michiru. But first...were their feelings true?

"Captain." Kathryn flinched a bit, having grown used to hearing that voice address her as "Kathryn" or "my love".

"Yes, Seven."

"While you and I were occupied by the others, you stated that you love me approximately 34 times. Were those truth or was it merely the other speaking through you to her lover?"

It would be so easy to tell her...just to say that it had all been Michiru...that none of it had been her.

Kathryn looked up, into those deep blue eyes...and choked. She couldn't breathe, couldn't think. All she could do was drown in those eyes. The same way she had been for the last two weeks.

Who would have thought two teenagers from over 400 years before would show her the truth in her heart?

"No, Seven...Annika...I meant those words." Kathryn held her breath, waiting to see what Seven would do, both at the use of her human designation and more importantly, at Kathryn's declaration.

Seven's breath caught in her throat as she gazed down into those blue grey eyes she had come to know so well over the last two weeks. Tears welled up and she swallowed them back convulsively.

Finally, she was able to whisper as she brought her hand up to cup Kathryn's cheek, "I could never be sure...I wanted them all to be true...because I love you, too, Kathryn Janeway."

If they hadn't shared their minds and bodies with two teenagers from another time and place...if they hadn't been in love...if...if...if.

But they were. And they are. And all those if's? They don't matter to these two...because they have each other.

Four hundred years in the past, on a faraway planet, two young lovers embraced under the stars and smiled for what was to come.

I say this and they'll probably end up sueing me anyway. Oh well. I love theire product anyway.

TPTB could take a few hints from us fans out here...case in point, GIVE US SOME J/7 ACTIONS DAMMIT!!!!
