BBJ 453S BBJ 453S. Bought approximately 2 years ago to replace my 109" 6 cylinder. purchased pretty much as it is seen now, all the paint having been removed by the previous owner in preparation for a repaint. In the past 2 years I have used the Lightweight for Mud Plugging and club events and some green laning around most parts of East Anglia including Thetford and up to north Norfolk coast via the Peddars Way. FKT622L Purchased very recently for a bargain sum this tax-exempt 109" safari would make a more suitable vehicle for my family commitments and camping trips and dogs.

BBJ 453S. I've carried out only the necessary repairs and have recently gotten around to replacing the door hinge panel and footwell on the nearside with the intention of doing the same work on the offside during summer of 2002. Most recent repair was to have the radiator rebuilt after it sprung a leak The only other addition has been a 24v Superwinch X6 which was expertly refurbished by Dave Bowyers. I've sandblasted the wheels and several bits and pieces, resprayed them in a nice shade of bronze green and the bonnet has had a coat of paint so I am getting there slowly with the repaint.
FKT622L Initial inspection reveals the chassis to be rusted beyond repair despite evidence of having new bulkhead outriggers fitted, the footwells however are in need of replacement having been patched badly several times over. The next problem is the doors, which in the most part have gone home, although one, or two may be saved with some repair work and new door tops. I hope to be able to try and get the thing started over the next few weeks and following a more detailed inspection and test drive will determine its future . Test drive revealed that the engine knocked like an over zealous Jehovah's witness, So a later 5 bearing engine has been sourced and swapped in its place
