| THINGS WORTH NOTING... Well, this is the part of the story where we say good-bye. The lead, lovingly played by Rob Thomas (of course), gets all misty-eyed, and kisses his beloved wife for the last time as he walks out the door. Paul, dismayed that Rob is leaving him, calls out as tears roll down his face, "Where shall I go, what shall I do?" Rob turns, puts on his Panama hat with flair, and replies, "Frankly my dear, I don't give a damn," then walks out of Paul's life. The scene ends, the audience applauds, and we all go home wondering what in the hell happens to Paul and his three kids, Kyle, Adam and Brian, now that Rob has left him. If only it really did happen that way. Sadly, no, the world has interrupted the glory that once was Hashbrown Casserole for the Matchbox Twenty Soul. We had plans--big ideas, lots of stories, fun and games ready for our little site made by Matchbox Twenty General Discussion members (GDers) and for GDers. But we grew up. Some got married, some got college degrees, some just lost interest in their old passions. Time works against us, not for us, but it also leaves us with marks of who we once were. And so, our website's glory days come to an end. Occasionally we'll come back to it with another tiny update or two--to fix a link that got too dusty to work, to add another photo to the background when another Matchbox album arrives in stores, or just to update the copyright year on the homepage. Maybe, if the inspiration hits us just right, we'll add another episode to one of our many serial stories. Time will only tell. All we can say is, the time we spent working on this website was a part of our lives we'll never forget. We are truly proud of the work we leave here for many to see for years to come...or until Matchbox Twenty stops playing.
