After many hours of research and trial and error efforts, Luke "Many Lodges" Hatley has created canteen that is period correct. Made out of select leather, hand sewn, and lined with brewers pitch, this reproduction offers style along with durability. I have had mine for about a year now and have put it through the test. Their is no "aftertaste" from the brewers pitch, has never leaked, and has held up extremly well. Luke ofers these in a couple of sizes and styles along with several other leather goods including His "Wolf River Shooting Bags", "Luka Bags", Poke bag's, Jounals, and his custom made Shoe Packs.
