| Sandy |
| Sandy is our big sister that lived here before we were even born. She is a "mutt". That means she has all different kinds of dog in her family. Our family found her as a stray. They say Sandy sat out on the porch and howled because she was so lonely. Well she sure isn't lonely anymore! We like to pick on Sandy and drive her crazy. Duke LOVES to just sit there and bark at Sandy for no reason!. He is silly. That mean ole Sandy. She likes to hide food from us. She'll take food from daddy Sammy and momma Ruby and put it on the floor. Then when we try to take it she growls and chases us off! What a mean ole lady Sandy is. But we get sneaky every now and then and manage to steal that food right away! Sandy acts like she doesn't like to play but she sure does like to steal the ball when we play fetch! She snatches it away and then won't bring it back. And she likes to chase Suzy Q a lot. Suzy is her favorite playmate. But she'll play with all of us sometimes! Big sis Mary doesn't have a lot of pictures of Sandy because she's what they call "camera shy". Goodness knows that none of US knows what that means! Momma Ruby thinks Sandy gets afraid of the bright light that goes off when they take pictures. That would make sense since Sandy is afraid of lightening too. She hides during thunderstorms. But not us! We aren't afraid of anything! |

| Since Sandy has shaggy fur she has to go to the groomers sometimes to get all cleaned up. We sure are glad we don't have to go to the groomers! It's bad enough going to the vet! But Sandy always look really pretty after she goes. You can see that from the pictures below! |

| Sandy recently learned that she is diabetic. That's right, just like people get! Momma has to give her something called insulin twice a day. It doesn't look like much fun. Sometimes Sandy knows when she's about to get her shot and she tries to hide. Momma takes good care of her though. The really wild part is that now that she takes medicine, Sandy has lost her pot-belly and is slim & trim. She also is a lot more lively! |
