Hatzola Tel Zion is one of the strongest and best organized branches of Ichud Hatzolah . It was established six years ago to cater to the community of Tel Zion. The large group of energetic volunteers is supplemented by an ever increasing smaller group of newer volunteers.

Ichud Hatzola was founded by a group of young residents of Jerusalem who, while witnessing tragic incidents, stood by helplessly without knowledge or equipment. In those first critical moments until the arrival of the ambulance, no one was available to give first-aid. Now almost all Tel Zion members have a beeper informing them within seconds of an emergency, both in our community as well as in Jerusalem itself. Any one within a short distance drops what they are doing and is on the spot treating patients on average within 3 minutes- long before the ambulance!

Since the founding of the Tel Zion branch of Ichud Hatzola, hundreds of incidents have been attended to- heart attacks, choking victims, road accidents, terror attacks in nearby Jerusalem, and medical emergencies of all kinds. See personal stories for more details.

Our success in saving lives is dependent on the dedication of our volunteers who respond to emergency calls around the clock under the most trying of human conditions. Our volunteer in turn rely on the quality and reliability of the medical equipment they have at their disposal. In order to perform at their optimum, each volunteer must be personally equipped with the state-of-the-art instruments necessary to save a victim's life in the harsh conditions of an emergency.
