The Vi's-vi of Kicking Bird was one which some say led to his death by poisoning from within his own people. Kicking Bird was a great Kiowa Chieftain who wanted peace. He called for it, but because he was accused of being too friendly with the soldiers, was forced to fight in battle to prove himself. In October of 1867, the peace treaty of Medicine lodge was signed, Kicking Bird had proven himself to be a skilled battlefield leader, and his people listened to his wise words for peace. Kicking Bird was a young 40 years old when he died.
Sitting Bull
----------------------

A legendary name, and a legendary Chief who is best known for defeating Custer at Little Big Horn. Sitting Bull was a great leader of the Sioux people, he was a fearless warrior, and a renound organizer of his people. He is also known for joining up with Buffalo Bill and his wild west show. After Sitting Bull retired form the warpath, false rumors began to spred that the aging Chief was returning to war, and inevitably he was murdered in December of 1890, said to be by a group of cowards who had turned against their own people. He was born in South Dakota and was a great Hunkpapa Sioux Chief. Though he never led warriors into battle, he did help to rally an army of Sioux and Cheyenne warriors who were angry at the encroachment of white gold miners into designated Indian lands. Being a Hunkpapa Sioux medicine man and spiritual leader carried as much influence as the mighty chief's Gall, and Crazy Horse. The story I believe to be true about Sitting Bull's death is that on December 15th in 1890, Indian police seized Sitting Bull, and when his follower's tried to rescue him, the battle which ensued resulted in six indian policeman and six Sioux being killed, including Sitting Bull.
The last great Apache Chief was a man named Geronimo. He was said to have a deep seething hatred towards the white man, and was said to have killed a countless number of men before being dubbed, the "white tiger". He was eventually outlawed by his own people due to some of his unmentionable deeds. It was in September of 1886 that the most feared indian of all finally surrendered and agreed to the terms brought upon him in Skeleton Canyon, Arizona. Geronimo is said to have died at Fort Sill in Oklahoma in 1909. His name is still of legend to this very day.
