| Well, I guess this is the section where you get to meet me! Most of you know me by my handle "Hauptmann Greiss" on ezboard.com. My name is Blake Melancon and I hail from Olympia, Wa in the Great Northwest of the US (actually I'm a displaced southerner from Atlanta, but don't tell anybody :) I've been wargaming since 1987, back when I was just a youngin. I started off with Battletech, Centurion and then moved on to 40K back in 1990. Currently I own three armies. The 141st Cadian Panzer Corps, Black Templars Marines, and Dark Angels Deathwing army. I usually game at my local store, Things from Another World, and Olympic Cards and Comics. Warhammer 40K is a love affair for me, being an avid modeler for the last 20 years. It is the perfect outlet to showcase my imagination and creativity (my artwork has taken a back seat for awhile). I'm a history nut, so I decided to give my CPC a WWII german feel. Hopefully in time, I'll build the history of the Corps on this site. I still play my marines every once in a while, but it is truly the Imperial Guard I love. It's being the underdog, the masses of armored tanks, and the plight of untold billions, that made me start collecting them. So fire for effect, target identified, on the way, and start gaming! If you're curious, what's up the picture? That's me at Yakima Training Center atop my M981 FISTV. I left active duty from 1-37 FA at Ft. Lewis, Wa. in the summer of 2000 for the civilian life (ahhhhh.....). But I am currently with the Washington Army National Guard. So they couldn't keep me away.
