I have a problem with my
Computer!
The power light does not come on!
- Check that the mains plug is in and switched,
check the lead is in at the back of the computer
- Disconnect all power leads as there may be a
power surge in which case an electrician will be required.
- Disconnect al leads going into the computer.
The base unit makes noises but the monitor does not come!
- Turn off the power
- Check the monitor lead is securely in the back of
the computer
- Check the power to the monitor is switched on at
the plug socket
- Plug the monitor back into the computer and see
if it works
- If the monitor does not come on then a fuse may
have blown in the plug check this and try again
- The monitor may require maintence
and therefore needs a electrical technician.
I have a problem with my
Printer. I have installed the printer using the plug & play facilities but
my printer prints out rubbish?
- Check that the printer chosen is the correct one,
this can be checked when you chose to print.
- Check the ink cartridge is not running low
- Try re-installing the printer drives
- The printer may be defective.
- Contact the help line number available for that
make of printer.
Problem: I put my floppy disk in the computer and it will
not work.
- Floppy disks need to be kept out of direct sun
light and out of heat
- Some floppy disks need to be formatted before
being able to use them
- Check the floppy drive cables are correctly
connected and that the floppy drive is not being used by another program
- Try different disks to see if it is a one of disk
- A new floppy disk drive maybe required.
