What is HAVOK? Havok!© is a Live Action Roleplaying Game, or LARP, that has its' humble beginnings here in Winnipeg Manitoba, Canada. It was written and published by some fine folks over at Seventh Moon Publishing, and has been going strong since 1998. World of Vaithan: Havok Winnipeg© (the first and original gathering) has grown from a simple get together game into what is now a fully formed and organized club, with game senarios and chronicles for all ages of players. With the up and coming 2007 season, it is our hope to be able to share the game with those at home and abroad, under a single banner, similar to other large and more well known LARPs.
The Chronicles of Mune
The world of Vaithan is as varied, mysterious and at times, as dangerous as our own. Populated by the races of Man, Elf, Troll, Leonid, Yrich, the wise reptillian Kyrnos, the industrious Goblins and finally, Minotaur, the known world is ruled over by the great and vast Ereman Empire, who, with their great armies, marched across the face of the continent, taking what it could by force, and instigating a new world order, bringing law and peace to war torn nations, and uniting the countries under a single banner. Through the centuries, Erama grew strong, and its varied Emperors ruled to the best of their abilities.
However as with most rulers, some grew greedy and corrupt by the power they had, and some countries sufferd at the whims of these rulers. The dutchies of Makarios and Bellerophon both began waring against one another, and as a result, Makarios won their independance from Erama, while Bellerophon fell under the rule of the mad Duke Demios. The border dutchy to the north, Draco, who has always seemed to maintain a semblance of autonomy, partly due to the ignorance of Erama, also began to stir, making sure that Erama felt the presence of the five Kingpriests, who each in turn, rule over their respective kingdoms of the Dragons.
Of course, that is but a quick and condensed version of the history of Vaithan, which is being written everday by adventuers, warriors and wizards, all who take some small part in the shaping of the destiny of things to come. As more and more stories are recorded, as more of the unknown is uncovered and new lands visited, it will all be stored within the World Files of Vaithan for future generations to learn and understand...

Game listings, new updates, schedule changes; it all goes in here. We have several different sites we can play at, so be sure to note where and when the game is and starts.

If you have a link to your LARP that you would like to ad, please email the Administation. Provide a working link and a quick description of your group (game type, location and contact person) in your email and it will be posted here.
If you find a link that doesn't work, report it and it will be fixed or deleted.
Characters
Started in 1998, the Winnipeg game began with some 15 players. In the last three seasons we have had anywhere from 25 to 40 players, some who play regulary, others who play when they can. For the up-comming season, we anticipate gaining even more active participants through ad campaigns supported by our local gaming stores and Winnipegs' annual Science Fiction and Fantasy convention, KEYCON.
Each of these players can play either an NPC (Non-Player Character) or an Active PC (Player Character). Complete with pictures associated with each character, players have provided a short Bio for their respective character.
