As a fellow cat owner and lover, and most
recently, a Ragdoll breeder, this website was originally created to provide basic information about our small Ragdoll cattery. We've now expanded this site to include some great links to
Feline Organizations, Sites of
Interest, Adoptions and Rescues, and a whole lot of other fun stuff.
The Ragdoll is a relatively new breed that originated in California in the 1960's.
Most credit Ann Baker with creating this beautiful cat by breeding a
feral female with a Birman male. Though it's specific ancestral beginnings are uncertain, the Ragdoll is unique and truly a people's cat with a gentle disposition.
The Ragdoll is a large, but docile cat that 'flops' like a child's ragdoll when carried--thus, acquiring its name. Their fur is medium length, requires minimal care, and sheds far less than most long-haired cats. Though they have a non-matting coat that requires only a weekly brushing, our Ragdolls truly appreciate the daily attention they receive. Their grooming gives us the opportunity to spend quality time together. The Ragdoll is a mild-mannered and affectionate cat that
must be kept indoors. Thanks to their genetics and their original owners in New Zealand, our
foundation cats have excellent temperaments. They greet us when we come home, follow
us around our home, and have truly stolen our hearts.
Ragdolls come in four basic colors: Seal, Chocolate, Blue, and Lilac. Many breeders have expanded their programs to include Cinnamon, Fawn, Red, and Cream. They also come in three patterns: Colorpoint, Mitted, and Bicolor. You may even find point colors in solid, shaded, smoke, lynx, tortie, or tortie-lynx. Visit my

Our Ragdolls arrived from New
Zealand in April of 2000. We have adopted a seal mitted female
(Makamae), a blue colorpoint female (Anela), and a blue bi-color male
