TDA UK in money embezzlement and Auditing Crisis

 

 

For the last five months the internal audit committee of Tigray Development association in UK (TDA UK) has been to trying to audit the organisation’s finance. The attempt of the committee’s work has so far failed to produce any result because it is unable to reconcile any of its accounts.  In addition to this the so-called executive director, Mr. Tesfazgi Abera, not only has been uncooperative but also prevented the committee from doing its work.

 

According to a reliable source the auditing committee has uncovered serious discrepancies with in this organisation. Mr. Abera is fighting hard to cover this facts using different excuses and denying necessary information to the auditing committee. 

 

 

Mr. Tesfazgi Abera has successfully made the management committee of TDA UK feel frustrated, bullied and uncoordinated. He even prevented them from entering the office by changing the keys to the office. This has resulted:

 

1)           In the resignation of the chairman of the management committee and the rest been not effective at all.

2)           In an organisation which has no means of control.

3)           In an organisation which is run by an individual as if it is his family business.

4)           In the members loosing interest in the organisation.  

5)           In giving a free hand to Mr. Abera to do whatever he wishes to do.

 

All this is happening in the knowledge of the so-called influential TDA UK and TPLF members. This people are aiding Mr. Abera to do his dirty job by keeping a blind eye or even advising him a strategy.

 

Mr. Abera and his friends are playing in the name of the people of Tigray, whom they are supposed to help. Instead they are helping themselves.
