Tips On How To Make A Diaphragm Call

****Remember that the first reed that you place on the call maker is your top reed.  The type of call that you are making, depends on how you will stagger your pieces of latex.  These are just a few examples of some great sounding calls that you will be pleased with.  You can make ANY type of call that you wish on the Hawk's Ridge Call Maker.  Feel free to experiment with different sizes of latex and different stretch points.


Basic 3 reed Split-V:
1st -Stretch .004 or .005 latex to the third stretch point
2nd-Stretch .003 latex to the fourth stretch point
3rd-Stretch another piece of .003 latex to the fourth stretch point


Basic Double reed or Triple reed:
1st-Stretch .004, .003, or .002 latex to the third stretch point
2nd-Stretch .003 or .002 latex to the fourth stretch point
3rd-*only if you are making a triple reed:  Stretch .003 or .002 latex to the fourth stretch point

Ghost Cut:
1st-Stretch .003 latex to the third stretch point
2nd-Stretch .003 latex to the third stretch point
3rd-Stretch .003 latex to the third stretch point

 

Half Moon (Half Moon Cutter):
1st-Stretch .003, .004, .005 latex to the third stretch point
2nd-Stretch .003 latex to the fourth stretch point
3rd-Stretch .003 to the fourth stretch point
