Troy - Troy is the father of Lyons, Cory and baby Raynell. He is married to Rose and is friend with Bono, also his is Gabriel brother. Troy is an african american struggling with racism at work as a garbageman, problem at home, after his dream of playing in the major league  didn't come true. Troy (my opinon) like to start problem. Like with he tell Cory don't become football player for Croy's college, or when he send his brother Gabriel to mental hosiptal, but the most troble he didn't was cheat with his on his wife with Alberta, his mistress. Most of his action only made since to him. When Troy told Cory not become a football player it was because he did want Croy to feel sad or wast his time, when he don't succeed. He sent his brother Gabriel to mental hosiptal because he thought he was crazy. At the end his mistress has his baby and the she die then he does. I think Troy is a good for nothibg type of guy, and iI think he is not a good husband or father, because he has three different with three different mothers.

Rose - Rose the mother of Croy and the stepmother of Lyons and Raynell. She is an african american women that is every compassionet person, who is name after a flower. At the end of the story she take in Raynell, Troy and Alberta baby daughter. I think she is versy strong and kind to takecare of a baby that is not hers and that was fathered by her husband with an another women.
