| Old News: August '01 8/26/01- If you haven't already heard, O-Town will be touring with Britney Spears this fall! Go to O-Town's Official Site for dates and details! Along the lines of site news, check out the Pics Section to see tons of pics of O-Town from the Limited Too's Passion for Fashion in NYC! Now, on a more serious note, even though this is an O-Town fan site, I would just like to send my condolences to Aaliyah Haughton's family, friends, and fans. I wasn't a huge fan of hers, but I would still be the first to say that she was an amazingly talented and extremely beautiful person who was definitely too young to die. She was a great role model and I never once heard one bad thing said about her. She said on the MTV show 'Diary' earlier this summer that she would like to be remembered as an entertainer and a great person - she surely will be. If you haven't seen the episode yet, it will certainly give you the chills. May she and the other eight who died in that unexpected plane crash rest forever in peace. 8/25/01 - OMG! I saw O-Town perform today at Arthur Ashe Stadium and they were absolutely awesome!!!! But that's not really a surprise, now is it?! lol! Be sure to watch CBS tomorrow at 12:00 PM ET so you can see them perform "Liquid Dreams", "All or Nothing", and "We Fit Together". And guess what? They had to censor "We Fit Together"! Apparently, saying "I wanna go inside" is inappropriate for a G-rated audience! lol! Unfortunately, though, I don't have many pics of the guys, 'cause I missed their photo op since I got there too late. I got a few of them performing "All or Nothing", though. And I've gotta tell you - O-Town is the nicest band ever! They stuck around after the show and performed two extra songs ("Girl" and "Love Should be a Crime") for the crowd! How cool is that?! Plus, I don't know if they'll be showing this on TV tomorrow, but, Trevor and Erik played tennis alongside big tennis stars such as Andre Agassi and Martina Hingis for charity. Combined as Team O-Town, they earned $6,000 for their charity, Push America (the National Outreach Project of Pi Kappa Phi Fraternity, which serves people with disabilities). The pics that I took at this event will be up on the site ASAP as well as the pics I took at the Passion for Fashion event two weeks ago. 8/24/01 - Still no word about the "We Fit Together" video. :( But, on the lighter side, O-Town's Official Site got a makeover and it looks really good! Check it out! Also, I'm currently getting myself really psyched up to see O-Town perform tomorrow at Arthur Ashe Kids Day!!!! And, no, I'm not talking about when they show it on CBS TV on Sunday! lol! I'm actually gonna be there tomorrow to see them LIVE!!!! Yay!!!! Plus, I have photo passes, so I'll be sure to take lots of pics to put right here on my site! And, coming soon, I'll put up the pics of O-Town I took when I saw them at the Limited Too's Passion for Fashion event! Since I'm on the subject of site news, I might as well mention that I'd like to add a fanfic section to the site, so if you've got an O-Town fanfic, I'd love to put it right here on my site!!!! Just e-mail it to me and I'll most likely put it up in a newly added Fan Fiction section! I'll notify you if I put it on my site, and you'll get FULL credit for it! Now, speaking of fanfics, check out the Links section for a new link to TONS of O-Town fanfics! 8/20/01 - Well, anyone who saw TRL today already knows that the video for "We Fit Together" did not premiere. In fact, there wasn't even any mention of it for this entire week! But, you never know, so let's keep our eyes peeled anyway! The wait will definitely have been worth it once we finally see the video!!!! 8/19/01 - If you visit O-Town's Official Site, you can read O-Town's apology for the Midland, MI incident. Even though it really wasn't their fault, it's still nice to know that they took the time and were responsible enough to at least leave a statement on their site about the whole situation. That's just one of the wonderful reasons why O-Town is the best - they just care so much about their fans!!!! 8/16/01 - It's official! O-Town's next single will be "We Fit Together"! If you haven't heard it, yet, let me tell you it is a hot song!!!! Very sexually driven!!!! The video is set to be world premiered on MTV's TRL on Monday, August 20th!!!! I can't wait!!!! The video is basically a big party on a boat and a beach, according to Ashley of O-Town. Sounds good to me!!!! 8/15/01 - O-Town has apparently caused some controversy at a County Fair in Midland, MI on August 14, 2001. They were first set to take the stage at 8:00PM, but weeks earlier had asked to reschedule so that they could catch an earlier flight to Germany for their performance the next day (Hey, these hard working, dedicated guys definitely deserve a few extra hours and a little extra time to themselves, right?). It turns out that they took the stage at approximately 7:20 and performed a Cappela until 8:00, when the power was finally turned on. They performed for another twenty minutes and left about forty minutes before they were originally scheduled to. I, personally, do NOT feel that O-Town was to blame for this incident in ANY way. Possibly their management and whoever else may be involved in scheduling their performances, along with the radio station (WIOR) sponsoring the event and the County Fair officials, may be to blame, but definitely NOT the guys!
