2. The Preliminary Round will be held in 6th, 7th, and 8th grade Social Studies classes during the week of December 9-13. The Preliminary Round will take one entire class period. Each teacher of Social Studies will conduct the Preliminary Round for all of his/her classes.
3. Every student that wins his or her Social Studies class Preliminary Round will advance to the Semi-Final Round. The Semifinal Round and Final Round will be held during the second week of January.
4. Certificates will be awarded to all class winners who participate in the Semifinal Round. Awards will be presented to the top ten finalists and the top three in each grade level..
5. The School Champion will take a written test. The top 100 scores among all the school champions in Florida will advance to the State Championships, usually held in Tallahassee in April.
