96 CRAYON BOX
SET
Every kid had them or some other sort of bootleg crayon. I honestly prefer Crayola because all other crayons are too waxy and just fudged up my coloring book like whoa. My goal in all of elementary school was
to own every color that Cryaola made. It wasn’t until the sixth grade
I finally got the 96 box set with silver, gold, and those weird techicolor
ones. |

I had them
memorized and sorted like a pro. That way, I knew if anything was missing or
if the little bastard that shared them with me in class stole, broke, or ate
any of them. |

Pastel and the dull ones were the most used for me. |

After so long that stupid box got torn and
my mom said to put them in a carry case. You know, one of those god-awful
Spacemaker crappy plastic things. I objected because it would totally throw
off my crayonic universe. Instead, I just took sealing tape and reinforced
the box…made it all shiny. With the box now all spiffy, you’d
think I'd be happy again right? No
My set was going downhill. They were all run down and unchiseled. Well, all except those stupid Technicolor ones, I hated those friggin’ things. All bright and techni-like and they seemed to all be orange (whazupwitdat?). Well, anyway, after so long I was
loving color pencils and got sick of the box so I tossed the crayons into a
drawer. The End |
